Product Leader, 3P Brands

Amazon has been successfully building a large and growing marketplace in India focused on meeting Indian consumers- needs nationally. Amazon would like to build on this by instituting mechanisms to help sellers build their brand on the marketplace. We are looking for a 3P Brands Leader, who shares Amazon's passion for the customer and will take on the massive challenge of establishing tools, processes and mechanisms to help sellers create their brand on the marketplace. This is a Greenfield opportunity for an entrepreneurially minded leader, with experience in Marketing, Product & Sales. As the 3P Brands Leader, you will be responsible for developing the strategic vision for this area, and creating and leading the organization to execute the vision. Essentially, you will play a crucial role in Amazon India achieving its mission of - transforming the way India buys and sells- .

Job Description: 


As a 3P Brands Leader, you will be responsible for shaping the strategy, planning, executing programs to help sellers build their brand on the marketplace and amplify their success. 


You will define both the long-term strategy and short term plans to achieve the vision and deliver business results. 


The ideal candidate will be innovative, team oriented, an effective communicator, have a desire to participate in change and appreciate a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities. 


We are seeking someone with demonstrated history of successfully owning a large complex consumer problem and leading across a cross-functional team, directly and through influence. 


Experience in Marketing & Sales is essential and with passion for technology highly desired. 


Role and Responsibilities: 


- Be a thought leader in establishing an end-to-end process for sellers to create a brand and grow their business on Amazon. 


- Establish scalable mechanisms to drive discoverability and visibility for the selection from these Brands. 


- Create solutions to provide key insights to brands on selection, pricing, inventory, market trends, consumer needs, demand supply gap etc. 


- Understand the services ecosystem and come up with innovative propositions to lift seller capabilities. Synthesize, analyze and report factors for growth. 


- Lead the development of the product strategy and vision with internal and with key external partners. 


- Manage prioritization and trade-offs amongst customer and brand experience, to create healthy growth in the marketplace. 


- Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals. 


- Brand Success: Drive program & product innovation to improve self-service capabilities for sellers to achieve and grow online sales success. 


Basic qualifications: 


- Bachelor's degree - 10+ years of leadership experience operating, managing, and delivering results in a services/product organization role with end-to-end business ownership

- Experience building and managing successful teams 


Personal attributes and competencies: 


- Demonstrated intense customer focus. 


- Demonstrated highest level of integrity, intellectual honesty, and strong work ethic. Sharp, analytical, and thoughtful. Has sound judgment 


- Proven ability to successfully thrive in an ambiguous environment and changing market conditions. 


This position is based out of Bangalore, India and will require some travel.

The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the following:

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives. 


- Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners. 


- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and other stakeholders to deliver products/services. 


- Demonstrated intense customer focus. Demonstrated highest level of integrity, intellectual honesty, and strong work ethic. 


- Proven ability to successfully thrive in an ambiguous environment and changing market conditions.

- Past experience in the technology sector is desirable


- MBA preferred - 12+ years of leadership experience operating, managing, and delivering results in a services/product organization role with end-to-end business ownership 


- Experience building and managing successful teams
