As a Partner Sales Specialist (PSS) - partner ecosystem with Amazon Seller Services India, you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy for not just Amazon's first offering in India; www.Junglee.com but also new products that we will launch.   This role is focused on the strategic and operational aspects of building a suite of apps & services through third party providers that can help sellers build their e-commerce business on Amazon. The PSS for Partner Ecosystem is expected to identify critical services like imaging, cataloging, integration with Amazon and fulfillment services for online and offline retailers and build a network of companies which are adept to provide these services. This role is entrepreneurial in nature as it involves creating a first of its kind partner ecosystem from ground up. The PSS will interface internally with leaders on our business development, onboarding and product management team to map gaps in seller capabilities and provide relevant partner services.   To be successful in this role you will have superior communication skills, ability to identify unmet customer needs and build long term partner relationship to close such gaps, an appetite for technology applications, and negotiation and organizational skills. This role provides opportunities to develop original ideas, approaches, and solutions in a competitive and ever changing business climate.  Amazon Role and Responsibilities: You will be responsible for creating a partner ecosystem from ground up. Working in a dynamic business development environment, you will be responsible for identifying gaps in seller capability and prospecting, qualifying, negotiating and closing deals with multiple types of third party service providers to augment seller capabilities. You will be responsible for account managing critical service providers and helping them succeed. Your success will be measured by the no of partners and their capabilities to unlock product selection and improve the performance of seller's on Amazon's platform through their services.   The ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and eCommerce challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions.  - Understand products and services offered by Amazon Services and be able to articulate its functions and benefits to external audiences.  - Help identify the gaps in seller abilities which will determine services to be offered through third party service providers.  - Identify specific prospects/partners to approach, communicate the specific value proposition for their business and use case, and establish long-term, successful partnerships.  - Work closely with senior executives at channel partners to successfully negotiate deals and help in on-boarding new partners.  - Track and monitor performance of key partners.  - Engage with internal and external customers/teams to improve products and business processes.  - This position is based in Bangalore, India and will require some travel.  Basic Qualifications:  - Deep understanding of and passion for e-commerce is desirable.  - Experience in a highly analytical, results-oriented environment with external customer interaction.  - Proven analytical skills and demonstrated ability to manage the business - by the numbers. Must be metrics-driven.  - Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills and the ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly. Demonstrated active listening skills, highly consultative and solutions-oriented.  - Experience with e-commerce, retail, B2B sales or technology sales or would be an advantage  - Previous responsibility for strategic development, product management or product marketing, revenue targets and quotas is highly desirable.  - Prior experience handling partner businesses is highly desirable.  - Deep understanding of the retail and wholesale landscape in India with prior interactions with sellers and distributors is desirable.  - Experience selling nascent (embryonic/start-up) products/services into new markets is desired.  Preferred Qualifications:  MBA from a reputed institute Overall 3+ years- experience in partner development roles or general management.  Amazon is an equal opportunity employer.
