This position is based in Bangalore.

Amazon is growing its merchant offerings aggressively in India. In this context, Amazon Services India is looking for a talented, passionate and confident Marketing Specialist with a strong marketing background to grow the Amazon merchant services business across India. This is an incredible opportunity to bring your marketing skills to drive demand for multiple products across India. You will have the freedom to define the content and media, through which you will engage with and influence our target markets. We are looking for a smart, passionate and results-driven marketing specialist to drive marketing campaigns to help us grow our business.

As Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, executing and measuring the performance of our online marketing campaigns across India. You will drive marketing content onto the web to reach our target markets to drive product demand via multiple online channels including social and email. You will analyze traffic and other web metrics and report on performance to our management teams.

The ideal candidate will be innovative, team oriented, an effective communicator, have a desire to participate in change and appreciate a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities. We are seeking someone with demonstrated history of successful demand generation and using customer data to identify and prioritize opportunities. An understanding of, and passion for, technology is highly desired.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Drive demand for Amazon Services products by planning and executing different marketing campaigns (SEO, SEM, Mailers, affiliates, associates, events, retargeting, remarketing, etc.) working with different stakeholders across the organization as well as external agencies.

- Improve the performance of services.amazon.in website, plan and execute improvements to provide a better experience on the website.

- Find new avenues for generating demand through unconventional marketing techniques.

- Develop, execute, and analyze creative test plans for different marketing channels and iterate through these to achieve the best possible performance.

- Synthesize, analyze and report marketing campaign metrics.

Basic qualifications

The candidate must demonstrate the following:

- Experience in driving demand through online marketing campaigns including paid search, natural search, email marketing, advertorials, promotions, etc.

- Experience in driving demand through traditional offline marketing activities like events, advertisements, snail mail, flyers, etc.

- Experience in managing websites

- Strong bias for action and ability to prioritize

- Demonstrated analytical skills

- Fluency in English required

- Aptitude for organization, flexibility and producing results in a fast paced environment

- Technical ability in using HTML and Excel, plus the ability to learn in-house tools quickly

Preferred qualifications

The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the following:

- Ability to think and act both strategically and tactically

- Strong communication skills: experience in coordinating teams and communicating to management

- Ability to use hard data and metrics to prioritize marketing spend per channel and market

- Experience in marketing to small businesses
