India based Manager Pan EU Vendor & Instock Management

Amazon is looking for an experienced professional to manage a growing team of vendor and instock managers that work in the EU23 Imports, Direct Imports and Print on Demand teams.

EU23 Imports is a pan-EU sourcing team working with vendors based in the 23 EU countries where Amazon does not have a marketplace in order to enhance our selection and maximize product availability.

The Direct Imports team is sourcing direct from factories abroad from its major suppliers in order to lower Amazon's overall EU sourcing cost.

The Print-On-Demand division is striving to allow every title for every customer order, front list or tail selection, to be manufactured in real-time, showing always "in-stock" on every Amazon marketplace.

The position is based in Amazon's India headquarters located in Bangalore and will require 1 or 2 business travels to Luxembourg per year.

Responsibilities

- Support the EU23 Imports sourcing strategy (direct or indirect supply, priority brands and selection) across all categories that are sold on the EU Marketplaces

- Manage and nurture vendor relations for direct import from Asian, US and other regions

- Establishing trusted consultative client relationships to significantly contribute to improving title selection and availability for customers of books on Amazon's websites.

- Support the execution of technical integration with new vendors and support projects to more efficiently source stock and set up new items.

- Assist the Vendor Management team in inventory management/ improvement activities

- Manage day-to-day back office operational aspects, including gathering and addressing customer feedback & business improvement initiatives.

- Build internal and external metric reports to monitor vendor management performance

- Coach and develop the team of instock and vendor managers

- Be an ambassador within the industry and consistently enhance Amazon EU's position.

Basic Qualifications :

- 6+ years of consulting / vendor management experience

- Experience of managing and developing a high performance team

- Strong in building and developing vendor relationships with multiple year track record in successful negotiations

- Strong business judgment and high sense of ownership, earn-trust-of-others, innovation, dive deep and bias for action

- Tenacity to drive business independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment

- Proven track record of translating customer needs into business/product requirements

- Candidate must have strong communication skills and be fluent in English

- Ability to think strategically and tactically

- Preferred Qualifications:

- MBA from a premier Indian or international business school

- Additional European languages

- Experience in SQL will be a plus
