Curriculum Specialist - Seller University / Instructional Designer

In this context, Amazon Seller Services India is looking for talented and passionate Instructional designers with a strong training content creation and design background to help deliver and grow a new initiative, Seller University. - This position will be filled by someone with a strong background in instructional design and content writing skills. Key to their success will be their ability to assess training needs and opportunity with sellers and build a curriculum that is most relevant for seller success.

- The Curriculum specialist is expected build content that can be delivered through self-service or through trainer led modules.

- As a key member of the Seller University team, the Curriculum Specialist will also be responsible for delivering on program projects and priorities.

We are looking for an exceptionally good communicator who has a natural talent for organizing information and making it "make sense" to a wide range of people.

- The successful candidate will be a strong self-starter, able to figure out what they need to do first, then make it happen despite the ambiguity and competing priorities of the start-up environment.

- We are looking for a natural learner, since it is impossible to deeply explain something you don't understand yourself. The vocabulary of the successful candidate does not include the words "that's not my job."

Responsibilities:

You have appropriate content writing skills and experience to write training curriculum. You have breadth and depth in the following:

- You are able to write text that is clear and grammatically correct.

- You are proficient with business standard word processing or relevant software.

- You are able to produce output in multiple formats like white papers, videos and presentations.

- You understand and have followed best practices for content writing, such as style formats, style sheets, templates, and editing guidelines.

- The Curriculum Specialist creates, develops, plans, writes, edits, and delivers operational, instructional, maintenance, or test procedures for paper, multimedia, or web-based publication.

- You conduct interviews with various functional managers to gather data for creating the curriculum.

- You research and transform technical and product information into manuals or other documents for non-technical audiences.

- You recommend formats that reflect customer requirements.

- You produce output that conforms to company documentation and quality assurance standards.

The successful candidate will have already demonstrated:

- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills

- Deep knowledge of sales process and techniques utilized by the best sales organizations

- Ability to create, organize and keep documentation updated

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

- Technically and web savvy

- Relentlessly high quality standards and extreme attention to detail

- Ability to write clever, enjoyable instructional text that makes learning fun

- Ability to juggle many projects and consistently deliver results despite competing priorities and distractions

Basic Qualification:

- Bachelor's Degree

- 3+ years of experience in content writing or related role

- Experience in developing, planning, implementing and assessing training.

- Experience developing elearning courseware, job aids, online tutorials and/or other training materials.

- Experience with the HTML, CSS, XHTML, XML Experience with applications such as Captive, Frame Maker, Robo Help, Camtasia, Adobe Presenter/Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash

- Experience with the Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) and/or DocBook

Preferred Qualifications:

- MBA Degree

- Classroom or work-based teaching experience
