Currently working on an opening for one of the Big 4 Consulting Firms in India for the position of Assistant Manager - Taxation (Indirect)

Qualification-CA (Compulsory)

Location - Mumbai

1. Computing and discharging monthly Service Tax liability / VAT liability

2. Preparing and filing Service Tax / VAT returns

3. Compliance in respect of registration certificates and their time to time amendments

4. Handling EA audit / CERA / Anti Evasion with respect to Service Tax,

5. Replying to the various notices / enquires received from the Service Tax / VAT department

6. Tracking and maintaining new updates in the system to avoid leakages or duplication of tax.

7. Representation/ coordination with the consultants for submissions before Tax Authorities

8. Preparation & finalization of VAT audit, filling of VAT refund claim on timely manner.

9. Ensure optimum utilisation of indirect tax benefits in best possible manner -

10. Filing / getting SFIS applications approved for and group companies. Obtaining VAT refunds

11. CENVAT credit utilisation against Service Tax liability

12. Ensure timely compliance and impact of amendments in Indirect Tax laws;

13. Timely updating finance team on recent amendments in Indirect Tax Laws and rules;

14. Resolving queries of internal and external stakeholders related to Indirect tax laws;

15. Coordinating with tax consultants for tax appeals, hearings and various other tax Matters;

16. Providing assistance to management in Tax planning in respect of Indirect Tax Laws
