Altisource Asset Management Corporation (“AAMC”) is a public company which provides asset management and corporate governance services to, among others, Altisource Residential Corporation (“Residential”), a public REIT that plans to become one of the largest national renters of single-family homes by purchasing sub-performing and non-performing loans (“NPLs”) and Real Estate Owned (REO) Properties and converting them to single-family rental assets. The ongoing weakness in the housing market provides an opportunity for Residential, utilizing the services of AAMC, to purchase NPLs and REO Properties at a significant discount to the underlying value.  The role of the Manager, Accounting with AAMC will focus on ensuring proper controls, procedures and accounting over several processes as given below. This position requires close coordination with Director, Accounting, the entire accounting team, with third party service providers, as well as operations team as applicable.  Responsibilities include:  - In-charge of end to end property level accounting. This includes accounting for all transactions in relation to the REO properties.  - Review of fixed asset process end to end (including dealing with appropriate reconciliations, investigating potential obsolescence of fixed assets and recommend write-offs to management and conducting periodic impairment reviews of fixed assets)  - Review of Loan Account Activities  - Ensure smooth month-closing process including preparation of variance analysis and other reports  - Assist in compliance with SOX, internal audit and other compliance  - Other ad hoc staff accounting duties as time permits  Qualifications:  - 5-6 years years of accounting experience (Accounting under US GAAP or under Accounting policies aligned to US GAAP is preferred)  - Must be at least a Chartered Accountant from ICAI. CPA is a plus.  - Extremely strong in Microsoft Excel, Word and other Windows applications  - Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics a plus  - Good organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills  - Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborate and results-driven environment  - We need someone who is detailed oriented with strong communication skills who can work quickly and effectively to match pace with our expected growth
