This individual will partner with Global Talent Development, India HR organization and with India business leaders to support the delivery of VMware Talent processes. This individual will be a fearless innovator responsible for influencing and driving results at all levels and must be able to quickly establish credibility and build excellent working relationships both domestically and in the global organization. The successful candidate will be creative, have strong interpersonal skills, be able to address and operate in business terms yet serve as a champion for the employee community.

Responsibilities:

- Assess organizational strengths and improvement opportunities needed to continually enhance and drive a consistent future strategy for talent in India

- Be a trusted advisor to the HRBP community

- Support employee engagement initiatives

- Be a recognized thought leader in the space and able to think ahead of the curve

- Collaborate with the global team on HR programs (training, performance, top talent, career ladders, promotional processes, values/organizational culture, orientation, etc.) to support organizational development and the company's culture.

- It is essential that this individual be comfortable in a technical/scientific environment. He/she must have the self-confidence and skill to work effectively with, gain the respect of, and be able to influence a highly educated, and talented workforce.

Requirements:

- BS/BA and/or advanced degree in Organizational Development or related field

- At least 8 years of diverse HR experience

- Extensive experience in the High-tech sector

- Extensive experience conceiving, designing and implementing key HR programs and initiatives

- Experience at company (ies) with global business operations

- Outstanding communications skills - can converse, connect with and enjoy people at every level from senior leadership to line employees.

- Will fit well with the existing HR team; will respect and optimize their strengths

- A seasoned Talent professional who has lead the strategy for talent management, learning and OD across multiple business lines or a defined geography

- An experienced people manager who role models personal leadership and effectively coaches, guides and inspires team members
