Reporting to the Chief Commercial officer.
Job brief :
- Strategic budgeting /planning to develop an optimal Sourcing, distribution and Logistic Network to support current and future requirement of Power conductor business
- Evaluating Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) beyond the basic price, like considering freight, taxes, holding/carrying costs, poor quality, delay in delivery etc while closing contract
- Logistic management : inbound /outbound, domestic and Export/Import (including road and sea transportation). Controlling material handling, transportation and Inventory Carrying Cost
- Sourcing/Procurement of Spares, consumables and other direct & indirect materials for plants.
- Inventory Management including Inventory Stock analysis, stock management, stock auditing, stock reconciliation and scrap management
- Knowledge of import and export documentation, customs clearance procedures, documentation relating to drawbacks, rebates, EPCG schemes etc
- Supervision & control of all the purchases & materials management activities and Present performance MIS to the Management on monthly basis
- Interacted with various vendors for specifying our exact requirements. Provided all the necessary details for getting the work done. Sometimes, checked the finished products supplied by the vendor
- Facilitate creation of a highly committed vendor base by ensuring constant engagement and communication with them and taking care of their needs and requirements
- Training & Development of Plant Supply chain Team
- Time to time, working on different process improvement programs. Proactive identification of process laps and define & implemenet corrective action plan.
- Manage operational SCM related Audits in the plants.
