Advantmed - Senior Manager - Project Management Office - Non-Operational - Healthcare Domain (12-18 yrs)

Primary Purpose: Accountable for leading several business portfolios of Advantmed projects and programs. Ensure the delivery of projects within scope, on schedule and at budget while maintaining high quality standards.

Key Job outcomes:

PMO Management

- Responsible for the management of a project methodology incorporating structures, standards, processes, documentation and reporting which is agile, fits the needs of the project and puts emphasis on the quality of decision making and timely project delivery.

- Lead activities of Advantmed Non- operational project to ensure that goals, objectives and all elements are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.

- Plan and coordinate the various strategic plans, implementation actions to meet key project milestones such as delivery and budget.

- Oversee project team members to deliver projects on schedule and cost while meeting project requirements. This includes ensuring that the projects adhere to a project development life cycle with proper project management plan, risk management plan to ensure effective project management & tracking.

- Contribute to the management, operation and performance of the Business Services; to ensure it meets its targets.

- Manage the day-to-day activities in the Project Management Office (PMO).

- Manage the PMO team and provide performance feedback and goal-setting; conducts annual performance assessments and skill development and training.

- Collate qualitative and quantitative information on project performance for the preparation and production of project reports for internal management purposes.

- Work closely with Business Services teams to devise, develop and deliver appropriate and proportionate systems to evaluate key activities at a project level.

- Provide training, advice and support to PMO team on how project evidence and information has to be presented and reported.

- Thrives in an accountability-based environment with measurement.

- Carry out duties and responsibilities of the post at all times in compliance with Organization policies - especially confidentiality.

Project Delivery

- Ensure that all projects are delivered with quality and governance is carried out and established policies and standard.

- Prepares and maintains projects implementation time tables.

- Ensure projects have requirements documented and agreed to ensure that project activity meets agreed project objectives.

- Ensure monitoring of progress against all projects is timely and accurate and enables Sponsors and stakeholders have visibility and sufficient information to make the required decisions.

- Ensure risks, issues and dependencies are being recorded, monitored and proactively managed to minimize disruption to successful delivery.

- Participate in project reviews, approvals, and gating processes

- Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project.

- Encourage knowledge transfer and lessons learnt activities within the PMO and business project teams to drive best practice.

- Ensure post project reviews are in place and include lessons learnt exercises which identify both positive and negative outcomes to be actioned.

- At project closure - prepare the project to be handled over to operations team. Review learning lessons from actual project implementation, review and make recommendations for future project improvements.

Work Relations:

Internal:

- Reporting to Director of PMO for all functional.

- Interfacing with all service level heads and managers based out of India as well as other global offices. (24 X 7 work environment).

- Interfacing with Business development, finance, Human resources, administration team members and software development teams of for all functional as well as operational Projects.

External:

- Interface with potential and existing vendors and channel partners.

Desired Key Expertise for the job:

- Exposure of different industries is desirable.

- Recognized formal project management qualification (PMP/APMP/Prince2/P30 or equivalent) is desirable

- Exposure with multiple project management tools.

- Exceptional, demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Office.

- US Health Care Industry Knowledge.

- Experience in managing onshore client projects.

- Ability to manage a range of projects types and complex business initiatives and change programs.

- Management of the organization's Project Delivery Approach, its implementation, establishment and iteration

- Good understanding of performance management frameworks and tools in the delivery of business objectives

- Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.

- Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.

- Should have exposure to working with US time zone interface.

- Extremely strong analytical and problem -solving skills.

- Proven strong negotiating and consensus building abilities.

- Proven skills to work effectively across internal functional areas in ambiguous situations.

- Highly self- motivated, self- directed, and attentive to detail.

- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high- pressure environment.

- Experience of Project Management in agile and scrum methodology

Experience & Qualification:

- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in management, business, or related field .

- Minimum 2 years of experience & exposure in managing project management department in mid to large organization.

- Extensive experience providing practical direction on information and Management platforms.
