The cell assists the Chairman’s Office and capital review committees, periodically set up by the Chairman, in the appraisal of new Greenfield and Brownfield project proposals. In addition, the Cell interfaces with corporate and on-site project teams of Group companies in the areas of project planning, project schedule recovery, cost bench-marking studies, risk management and project cost reduction.  Qualification and experience:  - B. Tech degree in Mechanical / Electrical engineering and minimum of 10 years of experience with 3-4 years in managerial position of Project conceptualization, planning and monitoring etc.  - Work break down structure preparation, identify critical milestones and critical path use concepts of providing float and buffer so that planning is robust to absorb unforeseen surprises.  - Activity based project planning with software tools like Primavera  - In depth knowledge of project management tools, best practices and processes strong understanding of project execution methodologies in industries like cement, metals, fertilizers, Power sector, Chemical process plants, Petroleum Refinery and petrochemical etc.  - Worked on monitoring tools i.e S-Curve, Earn value analysis, impact schedule  - Hands on experience in Project scheduling and cost control using project management tools like MS Project, Primavera and SAP Project module ,can prepare and update baseline schedules/ other contractual schedules.  - Experience in project planning in engineering consultancy organization of repute for 3-4 years will be an added advantage.  - Certification in Project management proficiency by professional organization like PMA / PMI is desirable.  Key Result Areas/Account abilities: 	 - Ensure identification of critical milestones of projects and monitoring the same throughout the life cycle of projects  - Monitor physical progress at site and create independent assessment of completion date by analysing the critical activities and resource availability at site.  - Ensure that a project planning software is properly used for resource based planning and scheduling in all projects across the group  - Review monthly project progress report received from project teams, analyse and prepare MIS showing critical milestones and suggested actions  - Define best practices, standards and policies in the areas of project planning to enhance project execution capabilities within the group and gain acceptance for the same by interacting with project teams across group companies
