Job description - Product Manager (Liabilities):

- Antwerp Diamond Bank (ADB) is a niche bank, fully dedicated to servicing the global diamond trade and manufacturing. It has offices in Antwerp, Singapore, Mumbai, Dubai and Hong Kong.

- In Mumbai, ADB focuses on export credit granting and trade operations for diamond and jewellery manufacturers. Although a smaller player in a market where +40 banks finance the industry, ADB is highly recognized by many major and mid-tier merchants as a value adding diamond literate bank.

- ADB, Mumbai over the years has built strong relationships with Indian diaspora engaged in Diamond Trade. This community comprises of a large number with high individual net-worth. For the purpose of providing a total banking solutions, it is expedient that ADB, Mumbai branch provides deposit products also so that the clients do not have to look for any other Bank for such services. Moreover, India offers very attractive deposit products and schemes for Non-Resident Indians and that offers a very attractive business propositions for Banks in India with international operations. For the purpose, we are on an active look out for an experienced Product Manager.

- The primary responsibility will be to conceptualise, develop and launch of new liability products which include product definition and development, creating of pricing strategy, branding and marketing plans with the ultimate goal to contributing to the profitability of the Bank.

Areas of responsibilities and objectives:

The position is responsible for the performance with regards to:

- Product designing, development, launching & implementation of new product offerings (to include bulk local INR and FCNR USD deposits from Indian & NRI customers), Third Party products and Assets.

- Studying and recommending appropriate software and IT applications for the business vertical

- Writing product manual, process manual, designing the delivery platform, back-office procedures and customer grievance handling mechanism.

- Developing Standard Operating Processes related to operational risk, compliance and KYC framework as per requirement of Regulatory bodies & authorities for the business vertical

- Developing remittance platforms (online and offline model)

- Maintaining MIS

- Looking after ADB’s external image in Mumbai by organising and participating in PR activities

- Maintaining formal and informal contacts with stakeholders like other Regulatory bodies & authorities in India to keep track of market trends and trade practices that impact financial goals

- Participating in the initiation of new products and services for the Branch to the benefit of customers and the bottom line objective of the Branch

- Maintaining Business Relationship withh HNI/ UHNI Clients shall be desirable

The Position reports to CEO in Mumbai.

- The Bank’s premises are located at Trade Centre, Bandra Kurla Complex.

Discriminating factors for recruitment:

- Vast knowledge and experience of Liability products of Banks specially deposit products available to NRIs such as NRE, NRO and FCNR(B), RFC, EEFC accounts

- Customer portfolio management responsibility

- Strong interpersonal relationships and commercial flair

- Should be innovative, solution oriented, proactive and prepared to work independently.

- Should be a go getter and good at empathizing with the needs of clients.

- Excellent analytical skills & capabilities

- Has a banking background with international oriented customers

Profile :

Educational background

- University degree (Bachelor) with post graduate (Master in Finance / Banking / Accounting)

- Preferred age – 35 to 45 years / desirable to have 10-12 years of with excellent track record in Product development and management of Liabilities products

Professional background

- Minimum 10 years experience in Liability Products, Raising Bulk Deposits, Raising corporate Deposits and NRI deposits

- Sound knowledge of Domestic Deposit products, FEMA with special emphasis on NRIs & PIOs, compliance Function, KYC/ AML, regulatory framework, internal banking operations

- Should have dealt with Reserve Bank of India for various approvals.

- Proven business development ability with building up of a customer portfolio

- Good knowledge of MS Package
