Job Purpose
The IT Governance Lead is should be responsible for tracking/reporting regular reviews spanning entire gamut of Central IT scope of work (Applications, Infrastructure, Security, Enterprise Architecture, Monitoring IT projects within the different BU's etc.), financial tracking, risk/issue tracking, and knowledge management/learning for the team in Central IT. The person in this role needs to extend support to the Group CIO on various areas including tracking status of program deliverables and milestones, program level risk and issue co-ordination, monitoring the status of projects transitioning into normal service, coordination of the regular project / program level reporting cycles, governance arrangements etc.
Key Accountabilities
1. Setting up the overall governance standards & operating model (including suitable Metrics & Measurement system ) within Central IT organization - defining the governance between Central IT and its other stakeholders like BU IT, Executive Leadership (CEO/COO etc.), other Vendors & Partners
2. Systematically driving the periodic reviews between Central IT and other stakeholders as per the established Operating model - keeping minutes of the critical meetings and tracking action items till logical closure
3. Monitor escalations - Tracking & Reporting all escalations to Central IT and following up on the identified remedial measures till logical closure of the escalated issues
4. Maintaining the action items tracker and ensuring timely completion of required action items
5. Risk Management - Maintaining & Tracking & Reporting all risks as per the Risk Register
6. Knowledge Management - Organizing & Tracking & Reporting the skill-development programs / training events for the Central IT team
7. Continue to work with stakeholders to evolve the IT operating model
8. Prepare, maintain and publish Governance dashboards
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.E (or M. Tech) in Information Technology / Computer Science etc.
- MBA (Systems / IT as one of the specialization)
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
- At least 8 - 10 years of experience in IT / Consulting organizations
- At least 4 - 5 years of experience in Consulting in one of the Big Four consulting organizations
- Experience of program co-ordination/ project monitoring & management
- Experience of managing small projects, or exposure to the end to end project lifecycle, or managing substantial parts of the project lifecycle
- Experience of working within a structured project management framework
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
- Skill at managing stakeholder groups and balancing diplomacy and tact with assertiveness
