Acturial Manager - Statutory Valuation (1-3 yrs)
A varied role within the Actuarial department focusing mainly on statutory valuation and financial reporting (EV, VNB) responsibilities.
- Help improve valuation methodologies and implement new processes and methodologies as required in the areas of ALM, economic capital and FCR.
- Maintain and develop PROPHET actuarial models for various purposes such as analyzing new business, analysis of surplus etc.
Experience :
- 1-3 years in the Actuarial department of a life insurer in the valuation team with essential knowledge of the following:
Statutory valuation :
- Preparation of annual actuarial submissions (Appointed Actuary’s report and abstract)
- Conceptual and computational knowledge of VNB and EV
Professional qualification : 4-6 actuarial exams from IAI
Skills required :
Essential: PROPHET and DCSuser level, Access, Excel and VBA
Desirable: SQL skills
Other skills:
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Analytical and computational skills
