Actuarial (US Pension) - Consulting

Role Focus

- You will provide constructive support for both business leader/service delivery leader and team leaders. Your role will include developing actuarial expertise by regular knowledge sharing and mentoring in order to delivery very high quality of work consistently. You will strive for process improvements for consistent improvement on quality and efficiency.

Key Activities include

- Supports client teams in a wide array of retirement project work

- Formulates views and provides input to deliverables and potential solutions to the client teams

- Establishes and develops relationships with the teams Onshore

- Proactively manages client teams to ensure business targets and delivery goals are met

- Actively mentors and coaches colleagues on the job

- Develops personal brand as someone who is regarded by colleagues and team managers as an effective manager who uses knowledge and experience to provide added value

- Ensures delivery is consistently accurate and on schedule

- Keeps up-to-date with new developments in retirement legislation or professional guidelines that relate to own work

- Ensures regular knowledge sharing amongst team to avoid repetition of errors

- Assists the business leader / Service Delivery Leader in managing client relationships

- Peer reviews work of others to ensure accuracy and makes sure the work is ready to go to clients

- Utilizes effective project management tools and processes for client deliverables

Qualification:

- Minimum CT series exams to nearly qualified actuary

- Actuarial work experience, preferably in Life/Pension valuation (exposre to US pension will be an added advantage)

- Excellent communication skills

- Excellent people management/leadership skills

- Good exposure to any actuarial modelling software

- Experience managing actuarial functions for clients overseas would be a plus
