Actuarial Consultant - P&C

Position Title: Consultant - Actuarial P&C

Company: Our client is is a global player which has its focus into core Financial Protection business

Reporting to: Associate Vice President

Location: Western India

Background:

- The resource would be a key member of the Actuarial Services team

- Candidate is expected to work on multiple analytics projects for Non-Life insurance related to Pricing/ Valuation/ Claim Analysis and other Actuarial Projects for the team.

- The role may involve doing independent analysis or supporting senior consultants as per project requirements

- Play a critical role in Non-Life Actuarial support platform servicing various group entities

Key Accountabilities

- Interacting with clients on regular basis, understanding their requirements and transforming them into a solution framework

- Working on all the aspects of actuarial projects involving pricing, SAS analysis and documentation for delivery

- Pricing of Motor & Household portfolio for retail line of business using tools like, Emblem and Rate Assessor

- Independently analyzing project requirements to own and deliver pilot projects / initiatives with very high quality

- Understanding business problems and translate the business information into dynamic and effective reports or dashboards to generate meaningful business insights

Position Related Experience

- Senior student or Associate of Actuarial Society (India/UK/SOA)

- Knowledge of Emblem/ Rate Assessor/ Other Actuarial tools

- Experience in SAS/ SQL/ VBA is desired

- Good understanding of P&C Actuarial concepts – for Pricing, Reserving and Valuation

- 4+ years of work experience in Non-Life Insurance in Actuarial domain

- Should be in a position to provide technical guidance to the P&C insurance team and be able to resolve any issues that arise so that deliverables are met

- Team Handling Experience is desired

Technical Experience

- Excellent understanding of Actuarial & Statistical techniques

- Good Knowledge of Actuarial tools

- Knowledge of product development and valuation will be added advantage

- Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills

- Ability to work on multiple projects at a time

- Ability to work on an international environment

Soft Skills Required

- Excellent communication & customer management skills

- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across different geographies

- Good leadership skills
