Opening for Account Director for a Market Research Firm
Direct reports : Managers /Senior Managers/ Associate Director
Purpose of the Role :
- Is responsible for account and business management of a portfolio of clients and projects in Telecom Industry
- Provides thought leadership into the strategic direction of business unit.
- Is responsible for revenue generation/maintenance, overall client satisfaction, relationship management, and delivering exceptional insight and consulting
- Works in partnership with clients and their teams to identify client issues, expectations and requirements and balance them against budget, time and delivery constraints
- Manages managers
Key Activities :
- Has management responsibility for teams of Managers
- Is responsible for staff performance and management including resource allocation, project oversight, coaching, performance management, development planning, and training.
- Directs and mentors others in analysis of data and creation of impactful presentations using FBC principles
- Leads project teams
- Has budget responsibility for Telecom business unit
- Manages, forecasts and achieves the revenue budget for a portfolio of clients
- Is responsible for identifying and developing new business;
- Has responsibility for the Industry Group in the country and to ensure global and local standards within area of responsibility
- Is responsible for forging relationships within the company (cross-company, cross-country) to ensure that all potential opportunities are explored
- Handles business relationship issues with clients/retailers (timing, quality, price), contract management, new business opportunity
- Presents presentations confidently to top level management at clients, using excellent storytelling and fbc techniques
- Builds and maintains strong client relationships with key clients in the country
- Is responsible for client/retail management activities of strategic key clients including identifying opportunities to broaden company's penetration into the client's business, in alignment with the Global (Key) Account Managers
- Revenue Generation - Responsible for identifying and developing business

- Sector colleagues within the country
- Subregional / Regional Managers and Directors RAM / GKAM
- Clients / retailers within the country
Typical Education and Work Experience required :
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in business, (social) sciences, or equivalent experience
- Profound work experience and established network in retail services and multiple industries, ideally including an assignment abroad
- Typically at a minimum 14 years of work experience in market research industry, there of 8+ years experience in an account management role and 5+ years of experience in a managerial function
