Mandatory Work Experience Requirements (if any):
- Strategic sourcing, Procurement contract management
- Supplier identification and development
- Commodity Risk Management
- Commodity Trading and Analysis
- Process mapping skills
- Process documentation skills
- For previous batch pass out (from premier B Schools; experience criterion is not mandated)
Exposure to Tools (if any) - Mandatory :
- Systems functional knowledge on any SC Planning applications like i2, Manugistics, SAP APO, Oracle, SAP, etc.
- Exposure to commodities trading desks/teams
- Commodity exchange terminals
Industry / Sector:
- Agri-business (agro commodities sourcing/ manufacturing and trading)
- Metals (Ferrous and Non-Ferrous)
- Food (Raw materials, Processed, Packaged, Retail)
- Energy (Crude and its derivatives, power, etc.)
- Chemicals
- Commodity Trading and Risk Management
Preferred Skill-sets:
- Trading / Global Strategic Sourcing for direct materials
- Understanding of Supply Chain Planning Processes
- Process Mapping
- Strong communication skills. Can lead conversations with client
- Strong command of MS Office Portfolio
- Strong Problem solving and analytical skills
- Global experience preferred
Non desirable:
- Procurement operations (Procure to Pay function guys)
- Business developer
- Merchandiser
- Commodity research
- Financial controllers for commodity trade
- Sourcing/ procurement of indirect materials (IT & services, Facilities, Office supplies, Travel, any indirect expenses)
