Job Description

Products OG is one of Accenture's five Operating Groups. The Products OG is fueled by the power of its five industry groups- Automotive & Industrial Equipment, Transportation & Travel Services, Consumer Goods & Services, Life Sciences and Retail. Given the diversity of industries, Products is uniquely positioned to help clients achieve high performance with differentiated industry, functional and technology transformation offerings.

The Life Sciences industry group works with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices and other medical products and other companies across the life-sciences value chain, provides services such as large-scale business and technology transformation, targeted business performance improvement, and post-merger integration. Our key areas of focus include strategy, research and development, supply chain, manufacturing, marketing and sales, and select back-office functions. Additionally, we operate life sciences-specific business process and IT outsourcing services across all geographies in the global industry. The primary markets of focus in the GTIN LS practice are currently North America and the European countries.

We work for large, high-profile clients and develop strong lasting relationships with them. On average, we have been maintaining client relationship on an average of 10 years. Our clients represent 70% of the Products companies in the Fortune 500. Our clients include 21 of the 26 health care, pharmaceutical, and health care wholesale companies in the FORTUNE Global 500.

Key responsibilities of the role may include:

Project Delivery: Managing delivery consulting assignments both in individual capacity and many a times in the role of a team lead. The assignments could range from strategy development, strategy implementation, market scoping, regulatory environment scanning, process improvement, Accenture asset/PoV development, etc.

Business Development: Working as part of pursuit teams, participating in aspects of the proposal development process. Support efforts of global sales team to win potential opportunities within the practice.

Practice Management: Taking responsibility within Life Sciences industry group or across the Products group in areas of responsibility help manage and build the practice, tracking metrics, etc.

Domain Development: Development of assets and methodologies, development of point-of-view, research or white papers, internal tools or materials for use by larger community. Acquiring skills that have utility across industry groups.

Experience:

Worked in top MNC or Indian pharmas, or Consulting firms

Preferably worked internationally in the pharmaceutical /medical devices / biotechnology industry or worked in an international context with clients from the above industry segments.

4-7 years of progressive business and/or consulting experience.

Global pharmaceutical industry or consulting experience is preferred.

Should have worked in the Pharmaceutical space and done work around (any 2-3):

Sourcing and procurement

Demand/Supply Planning

SCM Process Improvement / Six Sigma

Inventory Planning & Control

Distribution network optimization

Advanced Planner and Optimizer

Logistics

SCM Post Merger Integration

Should have an MBA or equivalent from Tier-1 B-Schools or have rich experience in case not from Tier-1 B-School

Must be a consulting fit

Experience working with senior level executives preferred

Travel - Ability to accommodate global travel - 60%-70% or more
