Career Level : Analyst / Consultant

Education Criteria: MBA / Masters degree in Operations/Strategy, Operations Management, or Supply Chain Management from tier 1 colleges.

Mandatory Work Experience Requirements (if any):

- Strategic sourcing, Procurement contract management

- Supplier identification and development

- Commodity Risk Management

- Commodity Trading and Analysis

- Process mapping skills

- Process documentation skills

Target Industry / Sector:

- Agri-business (agro commodities sourcing/ manufacturing and trading)

- Metals (Ferrous and Non-Ferrous)

- Food (Raw materials, Processed, Packaged, Retail)

- Energy (Crude and its derivatives, power, etc.)

- Chemicals

- Commodity Trading and Risk Management

Preferred Skill-sets:

- Trading / Global Strategic Sourcing for direct materials

- Understanding of Supply Chain Planning Processes

- Process Mapping

- Strong communication skills. Can lead conversations with client

Purpose of the job:

- Sourcing and Procurement (S&P) focuses on helping clients with Strategic Sourcing and Risk Management of their key commodities or direct material spend and integrating the same within their Supply Chain organization.

- S&P is responsible for developing and implementing strategies, best practice methodologies, and change management programs to help manage the various complexities that keeps the Chief Procurement Officer of a global manufacturing/service organization busy. The S&P Direct materials works continually on developing high end tools and processes (with importance given towards implementation oriented approach) that will help improve the efficiency of strategic sourcing within an organization.

- S&P Direct Materials focuses on delivering comprehensive business solutions across various industries adding significant value and delivering benefits with an emphasis on the positive impact on the organization's bottom-line.

The Expectation:

- Work independently in client facing situations as well as part of larger project teams in the design, development and implementation of new and improved business strategies, define processes and enabling technology.

- Demonstrate understanding of the key elements of the commodities or Direct Material ecosystem - the core analyses and planning processes and best practices to help an organization improve outcomes.

- Commodity / Direct material Cost Modeling
