Growth360 is a leading executive search firm--we are currently retained by an education client which is being seen as a pioneer in transforming school education in Inda to hire lead Curriculum Design leads for them.

These positions require Subject Matter Expertise in one of the following areas and these are 3 separate roles:

- English

- Science

- Social Sciences

Please read the JD below carefully--this is not a generic Content Development manager role but rather requires a seasoned SME in that area to lead curriculum design for that subject. It requires a seasoned professional who may have spent early years teaching in a reputed school (India or international) followed by corporate experience in working with a curriculum design company and must have led a team of authors in that subject to give them guidance and being the content architect in the K8 segment for that subject.

The responsibilities will include :

- Researching and writing grade appropriate content texts (i.e., textbook material) for given topics in the subject for Grades K-8

- Designing daily lessons plans for teaching the topic with effective activities and clear, accurate explanations

- Creating application and assessment tasks for students to show mastery of the topic

- Designing and developing digital content for classroom and home-based use

- Participating in a rigorous peer review process to both give and receive/incorporate constructive feedback on teaching/learning materials with the goal of improving effectiveness and quality

You would also be responsible for :

- Manage projects and coordinate the efforts of Authors and Consulting Authors to deliver high quality work to a given timeline

- Review final work output of Science Authors for conceptual and pedagogical quality

- Mentor, coach and induct new Authors and Consulting Authors

- Lead the pilot testing of materials in school settings

Qualifications :

- Teaching and experience backed by subject-matter expertise

The ideal candidate has :

- Ability to manage projects and mentor a specialist team

- A Master's degree in the subject from a reputed university

- Solid understanding of inquiry-based learning and progressive teaching practices in K-8

- 2-4 years experience in designing structured curricular resources for a publishing company, school or research organization

- 2-5 years of independent classroom teaching experience with students from Grades K-8

- Strong writing and instructional design skills

- Any exposure to creation of international curriculums would be preferred.

Please do note this is a managerial role so you need to have experience in managing teams and its not an Individual contributor role.
