Abbott - Head - Compensation & Benefits (10-12 yrs)

Role Summary :

- The role is a part of the Abbott C&B India team and will lead the Compensation and Benefits consulting for EPD India (ex-AIL)

- The role will also lead Market Benchmark surveys and Expat Management for the India Affiliate (including both Pharma and Non-Pharma businesses / Corporate functions)

- C&B Team within Abbott India functions as a Centre of Excellence and supports the business in strategic planning and delivery of compensation & benefits programs aimed at attracting and retaining talent

Core Job Responsibilities :

- Provide regular compensation and benefits consulting support to the business to ensure that all decisions and actions related to C&B are in line with Abbott C&B guidelines and local approved processes as may be applicable. Provide recommendations and support decision making for various pay actions (job offers, promotions, equity increases, bonus buyouts, etc.) by utilizing survey sources, market references, internal equity, and other data as appropriate

- Manage the administration of long term incentive and short term incentives for India

- Review, design / modify policies and processes as may be appropriate. Support in harmonization of policies and processes as required across businesses. Drive the implementation of global C&B policies for the India Affiliate

- Support the annual merit cycle for the assigned business including creation and communication of merit guidelines, merit process testing of eligibility rules, business support in terms of query resolution etc., preparation and presentation of detailed post-merit analysis to the business leaders

- Manage job evaluation requests from business for new / existing positions and recommend salary grades as appropriate in line with global guidelines on job evaluation

- Lead the compensation benchmarking exercise for Abbott businesses (both custom business specific studies as well as global contract participation) and utilize the same to create pay ranges, provide market insights and analytical support to business for decision making etc.

- Lead the Expat Management activities for the business - be the primary point of contact for Abbott Talent Deployment in India and ensure all assignment and compensation related information is provided to all stakeholders, ensure compliance etc.

- Manage special compensation and benefits projects including re-organizations, government-mandated changes, Global or regional initiatives / projects as and when required

- Ensure appropriate Governance in terms of alignment of business compensation and benefits actions to the C&B policy, SOPs as may be applicable

- Contribute to building the Abbott India C&B strategy in a very competitive market, balancing business needs and Abbott Compensation philosophy and guidelines

- Advice, assist and counsel Business HRs, on compensation and benefits related aspects Ensure Compensation & Benefits training programs are delivered to all BHRs

- Monitor industry and external market trends and identifies opportunities for change within businesses- teams as appropriate

Competencies :

- Ability to drive for results and achieve goals through direct/indirect influence

- Ability to navigate, lead and work in a matrix work environment - partnering with BHR and Practice Center to achieve results

- Demonstrable leadership capability with well-developed coaching, mentoring, influencing and stakeholder relationship skills

- Ability to manage multiple programs and projects simultaneously

- Demonstrated problem solving skills and analytical ability

- Presentation and communication skills

- Knowledge of country labor laws impacting rewards

Education : MBA in Human Resources

Experience : 10-12 years as Human Resources professional, 3 to 4 years of Consulting experience.

- Working knowledge of fundamental aspects of compensation (base pay, long-term incentive programs, annual incentive programs, sales compensation programs, etc.)

- Should have worked with reputed Indian/Multinational organizations
