Sr. Manager / Director - Procurement (IT Global Procurement)  Work Timings : Starts for 2:00 or 3:00pm  24]7 is searching for a fantastic Procurement Specialist (Sr. Manager/Director Procurement) to be responsible for strategic sourcing (create alternative source of supply) to buy more for less and to ensure fair supplier selection at fair value.  - S/he will have a keen eye - Able to examine all deals with perspective of commercial Knowledge, Taxes, Excise or other Duties for local items & Import, Custom duties, Contractual clauses (such as indemnity, liability, insurance, guarantees etc).  - S/he will work with Department Heads to understand bills of materials, negotiate prices on quotes received by departments, arrange for alternative quotes if necessary to help negotiate, and issue purchase orders to vendors.  - S/he will be based out of Bangalore office but will handle IT ( hardware, Software, Telecom, DC -colo, Cloud, Professional Services etc) Procurement for US (North America), Guatemala, Philippines and India.  - The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for identifying and screening procurement suppliers, negotiating terms and conditions favorable to [24]7, driving improved supplier service levels, minimizing risk while improving [24]7 business results, standardizing and automating business and procurement best practice processes.  Essential Job Functions :  - Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company  - Assist with all aspects of purchasing, negotiations, strategy, tool and process implementation for procurement related to goods and services  - Deliver business partner satisfaction and achievement of overall [24]7 business and financial objectives  - Negotiate favorable contractual terms and conditions for [24]7 with suppliers.  - Builds strong relationships internally and externally with vendors, fostering collaboration and teamwork  - Develop and implement efficiencies, standardized tools, practices and procedures shortening the quotation, RFP, decision making and evaluation time  - Assist with implementing and maintaining procurement policies and reviews on a regular basis to ensure relevance and conformance with best practices and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory policies. Ensures process documents are complete, current, communicated and stored appropriately  - Identify the most profitable suppliers and initiate business partnerships  - Examine and re-evaluate existing contracts  - Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness  - Collaborate with key persons to ensure the clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company  - Anticipate unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies  - Perform risk management regarding supply & service contracts and agreements  - Identifies opportunities and implements actions to achieve efficiencies.  - Provides reports on procurement metrics and results to department leadership and stakeholders.  - Consistently ensures that business is conducted with integrity at all times and that behavior aligns with [24]7 core competencies  Qualifications :  - Graduate in any discipline, Post-Graduation/Diploma in Supply Chain management would be preferred.  - Minimum of 10 years of proven working experience in Procurement/Sourcing, driving cost savings and improving terms and conditions  - The role will need to buy telecom services, IT hardware, Software, Professional Services, DC Colo etc. The candidate should have buying experience for US(Preferably North America).  - Self-starter with excellent business/financial acumen, proficient working with cross-functional teams, including demonstrated motivation, influence, and the ability to drive change across all levels of the organization  - Outstanding negotiation and networking skills  - Excellent supplier management skills including demonstrated ability to develop and manage business driven supplier executive relationships  - Proven track record of successfully managing risk and conflicting schedules  - Excel GURU with solid computer skills (proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)  - Strong attention to detail required as work prepared by this position is presented to executive management for use in decision making  - Strong analytical and problem solving skills  - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to articulates thoughts and ideas clearly, concisely, and persuasively  Organizational Core Competencies :  Adaptability - A capacity to embrace change with a positive, team-oriented attitude toward results  Customer Commitment - The ability to deliver a - customer- experience second to none, balances what's right for one's customers with the productive use of resources  Drive - Confidence, backed by an internal will to take ownership and initiative to overcome obstacles and deliver results  Empathy - Ability to put yourself in someone's position and understand their concerns and motivations  An aptitude for continuous improvement, presenting new ideas and executing upon them to achieve results and improve processes and systems.  Passion - An unrelenting enthusiasm linked to belief in our vision, mission and/or philosophies of the company  Transparency - Tell it how it is, through honest communication, building trust and fostering alignment, while respecting confidences & privacy
