Statement of purpose :

To Design, plan and implement servers and to ensure consistent performance maximizing Uptime.

To ensure that there is 24x7 support from the Server Management Group.

Experience : 10 to 16 Years

JOB Responsibilities :

- Primarily responsible for designing, architecture, advising, steering, and solutioning Server infrastructure across the Organization as an individual contributor.

- To participate in POC designing and recommending cost effective solutions.

- Maintain a resource capacity demand model, capable of clearly identifying the project vs sustain demands within the teams under the area of responsibility

- Partner with business and peers across the Organization and understand technical requirements that can lead to solutions.

- Responsible for reviewing business processes on a regular basis to identify opportunities to improve effectiveness and achieve efficiencies.

- Consistently support compliance and integrity by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting company assets, adhering to applicable federal/state regulations including policies and procedures and focusing on excellence, accountability and professionalism.

- Ensuring incidents are resolved within agreed upon SLA

- Ensuring problems are resolved

- Analysis and response to RFP

- Provide guidelines towards Standard Operating Procedure and Best-Practices documents. This should enable standardization, improvement of uptime towards better SLA and reduction in audit findings

Skills Required :

Management :

- Minimum 3 years of experience managing and leading teams

- Minimum 5 Years of experience in designing and architecting solutions around server Infrastructure.

Technical :

- Graduate or post graduate with approximately 8 to 12 years of experience

- Thorough working experience in Server Operating Systems (Windows and Linux)

- Experience in designing a datacenter and solutioning new business server requirements

- Hands on technical expertise in Windows Administration(Active Directory, Group Policy, File Server), Proxy Administration(Blue coat), O365 & Storage Management.

- Good working knowledge in Client Operating Systems

- Experience in Patching process, tools and technologies like WSUS

- Very good troubleshooting skills related to Operating System

- Very good exposure to Server hardware from Dell, HP, Cisco UCS, Nutanix

- Thorough working experience in services like DHCP, Samba, LDAP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, DFS, CIFS etc.

- Knowledge of SAN, NAS, DAS and Backup equipment. Familiar with the optimizing the IO issues.

- Good working knowledge on ticketing tools like CA, Remedy, etc.

Summary of essential job functions :

Server resource planning and implementation plan without any downtime and ensure that there is 100% up time of all servers in the organization.

Site-to-site migration/movements of servers for all the domains which can be globalized and managed centrally from one of the head quarters.

Handling any new projects/migration allocated by the supervisor and manage the server team resources with maximum utilization

Checking and approving the Daily task tracker, attendance tracker, Change Requests and Change Management.
