Description  The Business Development Head would be responsible for spearheading the Pan India enterprise business development function.  Responsibilities  The job responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to  - The Head of Business Development at ShopX would be mandated to expand and strengthen the business and product portfolio via targeted strategic tie-ups.  - To be responsible to spearhead the entire business development operations, strategy, analytics & other support functions and to mentor & closely monitor the performance levels of all direct and indirect reportees.  - Research and identify market trends and new/existing brand players that may effectively enhance the business portfolio in diverse geographies.  - To constantly prospect for potential new clients and the decision makers within the client organization and convert the leads into increased business.  - Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.   - Enhance existing business relationships and constantly engage them presenting latest features, offers or schemes.  - Ensure a smooth and effective new client onboarding process and coordinate internally with all teams and team heads.  - Be a ShopX brand ambassador and plan approaches, pitches and schemes. Work with team to develop mutually beneficial proposals that speaks to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives.   - Coordinate meetings between the client decision makers and the ShopX principals/ founders.  - Participate in various internal projects and contribute insights from a BD function perspective and effectively execute the support function requirements.  - Work closely with the marketing/ brand/ design function to produce essential branding collaterals as per the requirements.  - Review final business proposals with the internal/ external legal team to ensure all terms and conditions are addressed effectively. Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion. - Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.   - To develop, direct and effectively execute the business development life cycle & methodology, forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes used within the BD function - tailor made to align to the diverse geographies.  - Constantly devise and recommend market disrupting strategies backed with market research and competition analysis.  - Proactively monitor and strive to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the BD function.  - To partake in planning activities with other functions and stakeholders within the firm and provide constructive insights at constant innovations and approach mechanisms.  - Ensure all BD function objectives are assigned and effectively communicated in an urgency driven and timely fashion.   - Proactively identify opportunities for BD process improvement. Works closely with BD operations team to inspect process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement. Assists BD team in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies. Facilitates an organization of continuous process improvement.   - Monitor the accuracy and efficient distribution of BD reports and other intelligence essential to the organization. Recommends revisions to existing reports, or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed.   - Implement enabling technologies that may support and enhance the operational effectiveness and strives to optimize organization technology spends.  - Structure & implement training delivery to BD team and support functions for promoting overall development, reiteration of targets & objectives and enhancing efficiency.  - Directs and supports the consistent implementation of company initiatives. - Builds peer support and strong internal-company relationships with other key management personnel.  - To meet key industry personnel to understand market trends, competitor's activities and continuously search for new opportunities to improve business.  Requirements  - Proven working experience as a BD Function Head for a large conglomerate exceeding annual turnover of 500 - 1000 crores.  - Strong target market brands and clients network  - Excellent leadership traits and experience of handling diverse teams across geographies.  - High level of strategic thinking and business acumen with a strong result oriented approach.  - Strong analytical skills and data-driven thought process.  - Proven track record of achieving targets and driving sales growth in a business  - Excellent understanding of the target market mix  - Highly creative with ability to think out of box  - Advanced communication and interpersonal skills  - Up-to-date with latest trends and best practices  Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.  Work with marketing staff to ensure that prerequisites (like prequalification or getting on a vendor list) are fulfilled within a timely manner.  Present business development training and mentoring to business developers and other internal staff.  Research and develop a thorough understanding of the company's people and capabilities.  Understand the company's goal and purpose so that will continual to enhance the company's performance.
