Designation: VP-SSDM
As the leader of the India Sourcing & Demand Management (SSDM) Team you will work directly with Expense Line Owners (ELO's), Divisional CAO's, and the Global SSDM Teams. Together you will analyze spending within each NPE category, generate savings ideas, implement savings initiatives and develop demand management initiatives to deliver savings & efficiencies. The SSDM India team will both support local efficiency activities but also those ideas generated within regions or part of global programs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the SSDM Team across India’s wholesale business.
- Recruit, build and develop a ‘best in class’ team that will be responsible (in close partnership with stakeholders and our suppliers) for developing and implementing integrated, end-to-end supply chain strategies.
- Ensure the team carry out ‘best practise’ sourcing principles and continually strive to improve/enhance as applicable. Drives maximisation of Electronic RFx tools increasing Reverse Auction penetration for appropriate categories working with the Global RFx team.
- Play internal and external “Sales” role by growing and expanding the SSDM business model across all countries within region. Senior Advocate for Expense Management Framework.
- Ensure interaction is cross functional and partners with CAO's, ELO, Divisional Head and directors both locally, regional and globally to share knowledge and best practice across functions to maximise both sourcing and demand savings. Persuades, negotiates and influences at a senior level with key stakeholders.
- Provide commercial guidance, support and advice to Regional Executives, Divisional and Country CAO’s and Corporate budget holders
- Develop sourcing strategies to capture the save opportunities and process efficiencies
- Establish strategic sourcing and preferred supplier arrangements for all key expense lines
- Support the creation and implementation of global policies and procedures and associated governance models to sustain savings.
- Secure buy-in to cost savings opportunities, control enhancements and efficiency improvements across the Region’s Fixed and Variable expense lines
- Validate cost savings, track savings realization and report on cost savings to the relevant stakeholder groups. Deliver against challenging save targets in partnership with key operational owners.
- Drive regional utilization of SSDM Shared Services support team
- Ensure the team carry out ‘best practise’ sourcing principles and continually strive to improve/enhance as applicable
- Monitor activity to ensure that the service requirements locally or globally are met and improvements/enhancements are suggested and implemented on a continual process
Experience:
- Minimum 12 years of strategic sourcing and procurement experience with proven track record in leading internal and cross-functional teams in strategic sourcing efforts to deliver and sustain savings
- Previous experience of leading a Supply Chain team and/or Business areas demonstrating ability to manage a complex spend portfolio and still deliver >10% cost savings;
- Demonstrable experience in utilization of good Sourcing principles, procedures and techniques
