Job Code: 19200 Location: Title Finance Manager / Senior Finance Manager for Global Agribusiness & Food Production Chain Based in Mumbai
Role Purpose To establish and maintain financial and operating procedures. Ensure effective financial reporting , controllership and compliance with regulatory requirements in most efficient manner. Scope of the job To provide leadership to the team of seven in the areas of financial accounting , internal controls , purchase and sales accounting and process improvements . Will lead the forecasting and budgeting process and will help mitigate the taxes and relevant statutory risks within the business . Will ensure necessary implementation of laid down systems and policies with a high level of focus on cost, receivables, inventory and statutory compliances.
Incumbent is a resource to the Business in respect of Commercial Controls in its business operations, enabling the business management team to maximize growth and profitability of the business. Is a resource to the Finance Department in terms of implementation of systems and policies in the business operations and ensure high standard of Financial Reporting to the Finance Control Function.
Key Responsibilities
Job Description includes –
Managing and Controlling Financial affairs of the business under USGAAP & Indian GAAP accounting environment – - Consolidation and Reporting of P & L , Balance Sheets , Working Capital & Cash flow Statements . - Review and Monitoring of Manufacturing Accounts – Production Costs ,Cost of Goods Sold (COGS ) , Industrial Variables , Utilities & Overheads . - Ensuring Control on Sales Accounting Processes - Review and validate Fair Market Value of Commodity Prices for Accounting against Mark to Market (MTM ) valuation , Transfer Pricing and Hedging Effects
Conduct & Present Variance Analysis of Revenue and Cost Elements against Plan & Standards to assist the business in decision making.
Monitoring & Reviewing Plant Productivity KPI’s & Efficiency Factors with Technical & Commercial Team for achieving cost control / reduction.
Prepare Detailed Annual Budget and Forecasts . Provide the necessary projection to Strategy Team for Strategic Plan & Capital Budgeting .
Statutory Compliances - Compliance over Statutory Taxes like VAT , Excise , Service Tax , Follow up of overdue issues on Revenue Tax matters , Scanning Tax environment for business/ cost improvement .
Handling Statutory & Internal Audit. Strengthen Systems, Processes etc
Reporting Relationships - Reporting into Business /Commercial Head. - Dotted Line relationship with Financial Controller
Profile - Educational Qualifications, Years of Experience, Areas of Experience. - Commerce Graduate, CWA / CA / MBA (Finance) - Proficiency in MS office , ERP Knowledge , Any
Essential : - Minimum of 6 Years experience in accounting positions preferably in Agribusiness / FMCG company / Commodity Trading with some experience in sales accounting or marketing finance.
Desired : Experience working with an ERP system preferably MfgPRO , Knowledge of information system
