Job Title: AVP, Taxation

Department: Finance

Location: Hyderabad

Experience: 10+ Yrs (7 Yrs relevant taxation exp)

Role purpose: Taxation function controls and manages tax compliance and provides business support on tax regulations.

Job Description:

Scope
    * Managing direct and indirect tax compliance across various GSCs in India.

Computation / Filings
    * Statutory returns : computation and filing of returns e.g. advance tax, service tax , VAT etc.
    * Assisting in various aspects of expatriate taxation including ESOP related compliances

Compliance
    * To independently handle STPI / RBI / Customs / VAT / Service tax compliance.
    * To manage / coordinate with auditors and local and group offices’ tax team for transfer pricing, permanent establishment, tax audit etc.
    * To present before the Tax Authorities for pending assessment and appeal cases
    * To manage day to day interface with various Govt. offices for direct and /or indirect taxes
    * To ensure compliance with Group Tax FIM

Planning and Advisory
    * Ongoing review of internal procedures/ reporting to improve efficiency and tax compliance
    * Implement long term tax plan/ tax positioning to be consistent with business strategy / growth plans
    * Advice business on various tax related issues and review of commercial contracts from tax point of view

 

Skills & Experience required:
 - Qualified Chartered Accountant/ lawyer from reputed university
 - Good business communication  and drafting skills
 - Experience of independent managing tax issues / cases ( both direct and indirect tax) for a service industry for more than 7 year with overall post qualification experience of more than 10 years
 - Good working experience of ERP system environment and MS word/excel/ power point
 - Experience of representing the company before various regulatory authorities
