The role is a key part of our team that will help execute on defined strategies for managing our on-going partnerships with various institutions. The Partner Relationship Manager is a key liaison with our partners. This role will be responsible for nurturing existing partnerships by ensuring a smooth technical integration, as well as; capturing emerging business needs, requirements and trends that may have a positive impact on customer adoption of our solutions. In addition, the Partner Relationship Manager will proactively support sales meetings for Intuit’s solutions to new partners and will help capture the core requirements and highlight the technical capabilities of our products and services.
The Partner Relationship Manager is the bridge between the Partner and our Product Development and Product Management organizations at Intuit, with a primary focus on the technology implementation aspects of integrating our offerings. The Partner Relationship Manager will interact directly with customers and other members of Intuit’s Product Development, Product Management, Business Development, Alliances, Marketing and Support & Services teams to position Intuit’s offerings well for partners, capture customer perspectives, and assist in the conception and presentation of technology solutions that meet our customer’s unique business challenges. This role will drive the end to end Program Management for these integration efforts as well.
This role will be the single point of contact on the ground with our partners, and will be responsible for successfully driving all project integrations in a timely manner. The Partner Relationship Manager must have sound knowledge of technology environments encompassing various solutions like e-commerce, Business Intelligence and Analytics, Data Warehousing, IT Security & Compliance etc. This role is expected to act as a conduit between the customers and the Product management function to deliver maximum customer satisfaction.
The Partner Relationship Manager must combine excellent business acumen and consultative skills with a solid understanding of advanced and emerging technologies with an emphasis on business growth and positive brand recall.
Skills and Experience we need for this role:
The Partner Relationship Manager will have expert knowledge and experience as a solutions consultant with software products and solutions to small and large scale customers. In addition, the Partner Relationship Manager should have a strong technology background with gradual career progression into consulting and solution architecting.
The Partner Relationship Manager is expected to be an expert with the following: - Delivery experience, with strength driving an end-to-end solution engagement - Strong understanding of software fundamentals, latest trends, and solution architectures. - On-going program management, coordination between partners and various product development teams, and timely communication to ensure that we deliver projects on time.
In addition to raw technical knowledge, the Partner Relationship Manager will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of industry standards, best practices and methodologies such as Services Oriented Technology, ITIL, HA – DR, and OFX etc.
The Partner Relationship Manager will program manage the entire technical integration effort onsite with our partners.
The person in this role must understand the various ways a solution may be delivered and can anticipate what will work best for a given client. By combining technical expertise and business acumen, the Partner Relationship Manager will provide vital, detailed information about how Intuit’s solutions deliver business value to our clients.
The Partner Relationship Manager will participate/lead in client and prospect meetings as technical support and communicate and present with both technical and business audiences up to C levels. The Partner Relationship Manager must have a commitment to customer satisfaction and unwavering customer focus with the ability to communicate the value of Intuit’s solutions in a way that resonates with all levels of the customer’s organization including: users, buyers, and recommenders.
Specific Job Responsibilities
The duties for this role are broadly classified into the following macro headings (not limited to)
Customer / Partner Focus
- Conduct regular product updates and solution sessions to customers / partners to ensure that we set the right expectations on the solution capabilities and future roadmap - Consultatively analyze a client’s / partner’s needs and determine the best solution, how it can be integrated and deployed successfully in the partner’s environment in an acceptable period of time - Maintain account relationships over time to continue to deliver advice to the client and identify additional opportunities for new solutions from Intuit that we may want to take to the market through these partners. In addition, the Partner Relationship Manager will ensure that we keep an eye on relevant requests from the partner that will have a large impact on the net promoter score of our customers and relay this feedback to product development - Play a key role in developing solution proposals and ensuring the solutions proposed are technically sound and in line with the expectations of the partner - Create solution descriptions and solution diagrams for proposals, RFQ, RFI and RFP responses to ensure that Intuit is positioned as the leading partner of choice for the solution - Deliver short term billable engagements to analyze a client’s environment, and provide an assessment of needs and TCO and ROI studies of various solutions - Define the optimum combination of hardware, software, and services to meet the prospect’s needs as per the architecture requirements of the product or service - Configure complex solutions and work with various teams on large-scale projects in tight timelines.
Technical Focus - Proactively keep up to date with market trends and technology updates on OFX, SAML, Security and Personal and small business technology so that he / she can suggest the most optimum solution to an integration level problem with a partner - Proactively maintain technology certifications in order to be certified on the latest technologies that are used in the integration process with partners - Help equip Business teams with basic understanding of our solutions to ensure that the solution is delivered in the right manner with the right business objectives and outcomes - Participate in business presentations in a technological role, answering technical questions and offering solutions to help speed the cycle of partnership and move to a signed deal with a partner - Coordinating other technical resources as necessary within the company locally and globally to ensure that the best minds provide solutions to the technical integration issues that arise at a partner site.
Business Focus - The Partner Relationship Manager will work with the business and technology teams to identify opportunities that address customer requirements and maximize Intuit’s share to ensure that we can sign up more partners in the shortest possible timeframe - Conduct discovery sessions with customers to gather the required client data and effectively tailor a solution that best suits the needs of the partner and delivers on-going business value - Participate in client and prospect meetings as the technical support lead to help architect the right solution for the partner and Intuit - Conduct solution and product presentations with both technical and business audiences to C level individuals during the phase of helping Intuit sign up more partners in the shortest possible timeframe
Expected Experience - Individuals should have a minimum of 10 years IT experience with 4 years as an Architect / Solutions Consultant - This position will be performing technical support for deployment architecture, solution development and delivery, hence the candidate must have relevant references to ensure that he / she is capable of working on and successfully delivering on the timelines for a complex integration project with Intuit’s partners - Project management skills are highly desirable as the role requires deep project management insight to successfully manage complex integrations with partners - This position may require travel - Demonsted experience at designing and presenting solutions to large and small partners and ensuring that these solutions translate into business for the organization - Experience in architecting these solutions and the ability to develop complete end-to-end architecture frameworks to ensure that the solution design is in line with the business needs of the partner and Intuit - Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interface with various levels of customers and internal personnel for all aspects of the market and products.
