Title: AVP - Credit Risk, Bangalore

Our client is an MNC Bank looking out for Credit Risk role to be based at Bangalore.

Position: AVP – Credit Risk

Location: Bangalore (Local candidates preferred)

Reporting to: Sr VP – Credit Risk

Experience: 3 – 5 years, CA / MBA, Only Banking experience preferred.

Job Requires:

The primary responsibility of the jobholder is to assist team approvers in BGE principally looking at LLC/MME/SME/FTG/micro finance credit proposals, so that the analyses of credit submissions and financial statements are completed and intimated to the Relationship Managers within a committed time frame, querying adverse or unusual developments to be addressed. The speed with which credit submissions are evaluated and summarized for recommendation, without compromising on the quality of the analysis, is critical. Significant interaction is necessary with originators to suggest changes in the facility and/or security structures, seek necessary clarifications, so that the summary recommendation is objective, complete in terms of information content, compliant and is consistent with the Group imperatives.

The job therefore involves developing a high level understanding of the customer’s business environment, including through visits to customers, as well as in depth knowledge of the Bank’s various products - covering Lending, Treasury, Trade and Cash Management. The analysis of credit risk associated with the company, the industry in which it operates as well as the risks associated with facilities forms an important part of the job function. The role also requires the ongoing monitoring of corporate exposures to detect early warning signals of deterioration in risk.

The job holder will also assist in the development of credit policies, review of new product plans and credit programmes, and in the on going management of Risk related systems and projects.
