Senior Associate – Publications (2-5 years)

Intellecap is seeking a Senior Associate- Publications, to be part of the Knowledge and Insights team:

Position: Senior Associate – Publications

Location: Mumbai, India

Experience/Education:
    * Post graduation in Journalism, Economics/Development or its equivalent;
    * Knowledge of microfinance, social enterprise and/or development is necessary;
    * 2-5 years prior experience in social development journalism preferred.

Skills:
    * Excellent research and writing skills;
    * Ability to meet multiple daily deadlines to meet the reading needs of an online, global audience;
    * Ability to break news in real-time, write in-depth, analytical feature stories; and, express opinions with a clear voice, on varied business topics;
    * Comfort with new media tools such as Social Media;
    * Ability to generate own ideas for new areas to research and explore;
    * Ability to create a strong network of contributors and experts;
    * Ability to engage with stakeholders, practitioners in the sector in person and remotely;
    * Ability to work with a global, multi-cultural team of professionals.

Responsibilities:
    * Write news articles (breaking news, features, op-eds) for online publications - Microfinance Insights and Beyond Profit;
    * Produce multimedia products such as A/V interviews, slideshows, photo essays etc.;
    * Assist in creating primary research products like Survey Reports and Industry Reports on microfinance and social enterprise;
    * Assist in disseminating online content to a global audience using Web 2.0 tools;
    * Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as needed, to conduct research as needed.
