Senior Business Analyst (Marketing Analytics) PHD guys

Working hours: 2 pm to 11 pm

Job Summary:


Client’s Analytics Business Unit is looking for high powered & quantitatively oriented business analysts to support analytics function of Client in their Consumer Services domain. The candidate should be able to analyze, design, evaluate and measure marketing, consumer, and general business efforts in Client’s Consumer Organization.

Principal Accountabilities

    * Manage multiple projects simultaneously, effectively set expectations and meet deadlines
    * Conduct rigorous analysis that will help change the business
    * Balance analytic rigor with the needs of the business
    * Be able to effectively communicate the results and insights of the analyses to his business partners and management team
    * Apply quantitative methods including but not limited to:  regression analysis, parametric and non-parametric methods, and sample design
    * Conduct quantitative analysis, customer analysis and profiling, test design, and hypothesis testing for projects.

The analyst would typically handle 1-2 impact projects at any time, which should result in bottom line impact for client.

    * Work closely with Consumer Marketing & Sales team located across the globe
    * Might need to travel out of India based on Business requirements.
    * Collaborate across functions to execute analytics projects.

Knowledge and Skills
Good domain knowledge in Sales & Marketing functions

    * Advanced degree (PHD/MS/MBA) in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, math or operations research from IITs/ premier B Schools
    * 6+ years using statistical analysis that directly supports revenue generating marketing or other business initiatives
    * Experience with a broad range of analytical processes
    * Strong SAS and SQL skills
    * Comfortable working in a dynamic environment
    * Ability to manage and communicate project timelines and work independently with minimal direction

Strong data analysis skills are essential. Candidate should have an eye for detail as this job requires handling customer contact data where accuracy is the key feature.
