Director - Marketing Communications (India/Asia) – 12+ Years Experience

Location:  Gurgaon

FUNCTION: Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Marketing, the person will be responsible for driving the corporate messaging in India and the greater Asia region. This senior position will be responsible for growing regional brand awareness and credibility through a range of public relations, marketing communications (marcomm) and analytical functions.  The position shall also manage a team of direct and indirect marketing communications professionals and have responsibility for the prioritization and professional execution of creative development, program management and on time delivery of high quality corporate communications as requested by internal corporate customers such as product business unit and human resources management.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

    * Lead proactive media and public relations campaigns promoting  broad range of communications innovation, technologies, products and services., Secure the company’s participation in relevant industry news and regional-specific media activities, specifically geared towards driving achievement of corporate goals including lead generation and brand awareness
    * Drive and oversee PR agency initiatives, priorities and budget related to media and PR programs. Act as PR agency  liaison to local and regional corporate spokespersons
    * Cultivate long-standing relationships with the media, including reporters, news editors and industry analysts
    * Track, analyze and report key performance metrics relative to PR campaign activities
    * Plan, prioritize and supervise team leaders responsible for the design, development and production of all internal and outbound corporate collateral materials such as datasheets, white papers, corporate Web Site copy, e-mail campaigns and employee communications.  This senior position will be responsible for final copy review for all material developed within the department.
    * Lead staff of both direct and indirect PR and marcomm creative staff reports, in achieving company goals

 

 Experience

    * Bachelor's (undergraduate) degree or Master's (graduate) degree in Business Administration, Journalism, Communications or Marketing or non-business/technical field of study.
    * 5 -7 years public relations experience, prior experience in analyst relations and marketing communications roles, industry experience, execution of strategic projects, driving implementation of marketing communication objectives across organizations/function, working with senior management, corporate branding experience that includes developing and directing integrated communications programs and writing/managing content for marketing materials, newsletters, the Web, etc.
    * Domain experience in Telecommunications /Networking technology, products and/or services market segments (Highly Preferred).
    * Proven track record creating and implementing and managing innovative B2B media relations campaigns, working with top tier technology trade and business press
    * 3-5 years experience directing external agency resources as well as an internal marcom team
    * Demonstrated success working in a cross-functional environment.
    * Proven ability to adapt to changing communications needs, adjust pace to work and tolerate ambiguity as well as to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a strong results/goal orientation. Superior interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills, with demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with senior management and key individuals within the organization.
    * Proven ability to work well under pressure, managing a variety of communications initiatives simultaneously and under tight deadlines.
    * Demonstrated knowledge of multiple media used for communication as well as experience that demonstrates an understanding of how best to use established and emerging technologies to leverage and extend reach of content and credit union messaging.
    * Strong professional judgment, with proven ability to be a creative and critical thinker and problem-solver.
    * Ability to read and interpret information on systems and documents such as account information, written agreements, vendor contracts, and procedure manuals.
    * Proven skill in written communication that demonstrates the ability to craft messages for a diverse array of audiences and to express complex material in understandable terms.
    * Proven skill in editing materials and publications for style, accuracy, format and punctuation.
