This opportunity is with one of the largest steel makers in the world with an annual turnover of over 40m USD. The company is setting up a plant in Chennai and is looking for a dynamic individual to contribute towards its growth in India. The organization has great expectations from the Indian market and plans to increase the initial production by 10 times by the end of the 1st year.
The Role The person would be required to set up the entire plant, its functions and hire all the employees. As the Plant Head, this person would directly contribute towards the growth of the company in the Indian Territory.
Some of the Responsibilities
Organizational Activities - Organize workforce in order to achieve the maximum output for the area - Supervise and analyze productivity deviations in the department - Establish, improve and actualize SOPs in the department - Participate in meetings and trainings prescribed by the management.
HR activities - Inform and procure training for the workforce - Define needs of training in the departments - Follow turnover, absenteeism and vacations in the plant - Interview applicants to the plant
Technical and operational activities - Supervise the proper functioning of machinery in the plant - Supervise the quality in the plant - Control scrap in the plant and propose improvement steps in this aspect - Define new priorities if necessary
Administrative activities - Archive all records concerning working processes and SOPs of the department - Keep in contact with HR concerning documentation of absence, vacation, hiring and warning - Realize timely all reports (KPIs, Financial, weekly, monthly) for the AM wire solutions or group - Keep OWCR and Cash under control
Responsible for Health & Safety in the plant - Ensure the prevention of accidents in the plant - Motivate the workforce of the plant to report all incidents - Analyze the circumstances of accidents and propose steps for prevention and improvement - Define instructions concerning environmental issues and control their respect
Essentials - Must be working with a large Indian or multinational company - Bachelors in Engineering - At least 10 years in the manufacturing industry - Present salary must be over 25 lacs CTC - Experience in leadership position of at least 5 years - Language: English, Tamil
