The Decision-support and Analytics services (DSAS) group is part of HP's Global Business Services (GBS) organization, focused on leveraging internal and external information, in structured or unstructured forms to drive benefits for various business groups within HP. The GBS-DSAS group offers performance analysis, business research, advance analytics, program management and creative design support in the areas of sales and marketing, supply chain and procurement, finance and human resource areas.

Job Description
The Enterprise Business Sales Services team at DSAS is looking for a Manager with relevant experience and knowledge gained from working within the IT Services market, either in sales, sales ops, sales analytics, sales strategy or related role.
Job Description

This key leadership position will manage key programs in the areas of sales analytics & decision support. Sales programs include: Sales Planning, pricing Analytics, alliance program support, attach Analytics & sales compensation benchmarking.

The primary job functions are:
    * Scale up, manage & own the performance of direct reports ensuring appropriate linkage with the program leads
    * Suggest & implement improvement initiatives for existing engagements
    * Develop proof-of-concepts for Sales Intelligence capabilities across the Sales Operations function
    * Ability to provide strong people and technical leadership to teams and team members within the team
    * Elevating and Managing relationship with Business Partners
    * Continuously elevating the quality and business impact of analytical outputs generated by the team.
    * Liaison and coordinate across competencies and teams within DSAS and the business.
    * Ensuring achievement of business & performance metrics and program milestones agreed and reviewing the same regularly with key stakeholders.
    * Contribution to the development of internal presentations to communicate analysis results to leadership
    * Apart from these, the manager may also be required to work with other groups across GBS or DSAS to drive key client related strategic initiatives and change programs with a shared services perspective.

Skills & Abilities required

Functional Competency
    * Sales process management & Decision support; including data driven analytics, process led development and implementation of global programs
    * Content master in this field, including benchmarking and best practice with a complete systematic knowledge of function.
    * Exceptional financial and business acumen; in-depth business and industry knowledge.
    * Advanced knowledge of sales planning process and current market practices and trends in Information Technology environment.

Leadership & Management
    * Ability to make sound business decisions and take independent action
    * Ability to work with a global client base under a virtual team structure
    * Ability to motivate and guide team members
    * Exceptional project management skills especially ability to manage multiple projects across different engagements
    * Self-starter, “CAN DO” attitude, team player - focused on execution
    * Ability to work flexible hours - method, organization & flexibility

Communication
    * Excellent verbal and written communication with fluency in English
    * Client relationship management

Information Technology
    * Strong experience in usage of MS Powerpoint for customer presentations & MS Excel for reporting & analysis
    * Understanding and hands-on experience on IT Sales processes  & tools would preferred

Analytical

    * Creative, but structured thinker with a strong problem-solving orientation
    * Excellent Analytical skills and problem solving ability
    * Understanding and exposure to statistical techniques with exposure to SAS preferred

Experience & Background
    * MBA/equivalent from a Premier Institute with 7-10 years of post qualification experience.
    * Proven credentials in Pre-sales/Marketing/Consulting/Business Research and excellent skills in qualitative and quantitative analysis.
    * Should have 2-3 years of experience in coaching, mentoring and providing strategic direction to teams comprising Analyst, consultants and project managers
    * Prior experience of managing demanding customers/working with Senior Management in Fortune MNCs. Ability to manage risk and work in a dynamic environment.
    * Experience in leading teams: direct and virtual.
    * Proven expertise in Project Management, developing and monitoring performance metrics,
    * Coordinating across functions, domains and organizations..
    * Exposure to shared services operations
    * Intercultural & international awareness / experience
