Our client is an investment management company focused on providing risk-optimized returns in Indian markets. The company builds quant-based alternative investment products which are optimized for risk and return and two products have already been launched.
Our client is also registered as a broker and PMS provider and has a fully automated trading system that is capable of analyzing real time granular market data and produce thousands of trades with very low latency. In brief, our client is the combination of finance, analytics and computer science
They need a Director - Technology as per JD below.
Position : Director - Technology
Location : Gurgaon
Education : Engg from a Premier Institute
Experience : 8 - 10 Years
Compensation : Would match the best and no constraints for the right candidate
Candidate & Job Requirements :
Our client has four distinct teams.
1. Strategy: This team is responsible for designing and developing new strategies and revising old strategies as they adapt to changes in the market place.
2. Technology: This team is responsible for creating the core technology platforms that are shared by all Strategy team members to build new strategies.
3. Operations: This team is responsible for the trading and technical operations including testing of the software.
4. Finance and Admin: This team is responsible for providing finance, admin and HR support. They also manage the banking and exchange relationships.
The core skills required for Director Technology team would be:
- Exceptional technical capabilities. You must love software (and to a lesser extent hardware). Strong knowledge of C#, SQL, .Net. You must have a background in these disciplines and a burning desire to be good at it.
- Development Team management skills. You must have the exposure to various development models including AGILE. Creating a robust process for highly flexible and quick development is the key to success in this role.
- Experience. Besides the general technical development experience, the important areas in which you must have experience messaging layers, high performance database tuning, high degree of concurrency in programming, high throughput and low latency environments.
- An understanding of capital markets. Including an interest in microstructure of the markets. Prior experience is great but not essential.
Director Technology will work directly with the Managing Director. He/she will also be part of the Firm's Management Team which meets weekly to decide on all important business issues
