Job Description for Practice Head (Enterprise Content Management)
Key responsibilities:
As Practice Head, the candidate shall carry complete responsibility for building the Enterprise Content Management practice. This practice shall comprise of:
- Document Management Systems - Web Content Management - Business Process Management
These services shall be delivered across all the verticals.
The candidate shall be responsible for creating the complete set of Service offerings in each of these segments, and socializing these with all the key stakeholders including Sales, Delivery, customers and new prospects.
Specific responsibilities shall include: - Preparation of the business plan for the practice in conjunction with all the key stakeholders, including the Go-to-market strategy - Ownership of the revenue and margin numbers for the Practice - Creation and ownership of processes and methodologies for ECM, along with the associated tool/product framework - Service articulation for DMS, WCM and BPM - Creation of Knowledge management system for these - Creation of Program management, project management and overall Governance practices - Creation of competency for addressing each of the defined services - Recruitment and development of the core delivery and Solutions team - Training and certification - Execution of key partnerships for growing the practice, and for GTM - Identification of suitable Companies for inorganic growth - Creation of solutions, including IPs, for the entire practice
Background and experience The candidate should have a degree in Engineering and/or Management, followed by 16-20 years overall IT experience. This should include strong delivery experience, including delivery ownership of large, multi-location engagements. From a technology perspective, the candidate should be well-versed in leading ECM technology/tool stacks like Documentum, Filenet, Sharepoint etc. He should be a thought leader in process frameworks and implementation, particularly around creating strong Governance practices. He should have extensive experience with setting up tool implementation and creation of Knowledge management frameworks. He should be extensively hands-on from the perspective of delivery management.
He should also have extensive experience with crafting and estimating ECM solutions and of working closely with Sales teams on large proposal responses.
