Job Code: 16165 Location: HSBC, Hyderabad - Business Analyst IT (Manager) About the division - Change Delivery The Change Delivery function has been established to drive change improvements in customer experience and unit costs through automation, standardization & optimization of HSBC’s operating model covering people, processes, products & channels and to measure realization of the results The scope of Change Delivery has been defined as follows · Ensure that standard project disciplines are enforced at Group and Regional level · Support in region CTB programs through optimizing “as is business processes” per the ONE HSBC design principles ( pending release of the R2 processes) and measure the tangible value from this optimization · Construct project teams to deliver to change requirements which will meet strategic needs · Enable the deployment / delivery of major strategic programs and high priority initiatives · Deliver planned bottom line savings on plan within budget – independently assessing and reporting whether business case savings have been realized or not · Rationalize regional activity involved in local/divergent initiatives which does not support strategic direction/sustainable cost saves · Establish feedback loops post implementation of any process or system – to clearly understand what went right, what went wrong and what needs to be changed – initiate the process change and/or systems requirement for the appropriate governance bodies · Enable optimum use of technology – enable the super client The purpose(s) of the role is/are as following Analysis and Problem solving · Conduct interviews/meetings with business users and identify critical issues with ease. · Quickly understand business issues and data challenges of organization/process · Document business requirements document in a precise manner · Obtain sign-offs from various stakeholders on business requirements Solution Definition & System Design · Develop ‘as-is’ process maps using MS Visio as per organizations standards (R2BP) · Develop functional specifications and system design specifications for proposed solutions · Reviews and edit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution Leads Testing efforts · Identify test scenarios and develop comprehensive test cases · Facilitate Test data & User Acceptance Testing · Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner. · Works with client personnel to identify required changes · Communicates needed changes to development team Project Execution · Assists in the facilitation of team and client meetings · Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules · Takes input from supervisor and appropriately and accurately applies comments/feedback · Communicates and applies project standards Consistently delivers high-quality services to our clients Candidate Profile Education and Relevant Experience (For the job – not the jobholder. Minimum requirements of the job) ·A graduate (preferably Engineer) or a post graduate in Comp. Science / Technology with 4+ years experience as a business analyst in an IT organization ·Have prior experience in analyzing and documenting complex processes and in interpreting operational needs ·Understanding in the areas of application programming or database i.e. Visual Basic or Java ·Understanding of databases and DBMS concepts i.e. MS Access, SQL or Oracle and experience in designing data models ·Understanding of Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures ·Understands how legacy and web-based systems interface with each other. ·Knowledge of MS Office tools i.e. MS Visio, MS Word, MS Excel etc. · Ability to work and communicate effectively as a team member with management and staff at all levels. · Excellent analytical and communication skills
