Location: We had an opportunity with an MNC company with origin operations in over twenty countries and sales merchandising offices in the U.S. and Switzerland. We are currently looking for a results-oriented individual to provide Management Information Systems (MIS) support and leadership in its Far East office located in Bangalore.
The position reports to the CIO in the US.
This role requires a balance between technical aptitude and business acumen. The successful individual would posses a strong project management background combined with an ability to communicate effectively with business users as well as junior and senior MIS staff to solve problems.
ROLE-SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
1. Has a working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Navision ERP platform from a functional perspective is required. Should be able to assist in the planning and implementation of additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting regional infrastructure and applications.
2. Assists business users develop high-quality Change Request documents using Company standard format documents.
3. Understands network security at the regional level as established by corporate Security Director.
4. Oversees the administration and maintenance of the company's local infrastructure, and direct more junior MIS staff when necessary.
5. Oversees troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery and provides expert support when necessary.
6. Works with project teams to help implement Internal Systems.
7. Oversees all help desk activities at the local level. Responds to and escalates help desk issues per the help desk support process in support of meeting established internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Oversees the administration and maintenance of trouble ticket tracking software. Interacts with internal clients on all levels to help resolve MIS-related issues and provides answers in a timely manner.
8. Builds and maintains vendor relationships and manages the purchase of hardware and software products. Manages the purchasing of all software, hardware and other MIS supplies at the regional level. Ensures that company assets are maintained responsibly.
