Position Brief

    * To personally maximise the value our clients receive from the application and effective implementation of SAP products and technologies through the delivery of professional services.

Position Details
 

    * Position Title: Consultant
    * Department: Consulting
    * Reports to: Consulting Managing Principal
    * Location: Bangalore/Mumbai India
    * Date: August 2009

Responsibilities

    * Accountable for actively pursuing opportunities to develop net worth to support the achievement of billable day targets
    * Possess the highest level of knowledge in SAP products and technologies and the necessary competencies to deliver the maximum value to our clients.
    * Understand the concept of personal net worth (which is a representation of the value of a consultant based on their level and applicability of SAP knowledge, and their professional competencies as a consultant).
    * Ensure SAP offers the greatest value and satisfaction to our clients by leveraging the capabilities of our organisation and delivering professional services in a consistent manner.
    * Through interaction with clients, demonstrate an active interest in identifying further opportunities to add value through the delivery of SAP services
    * Support SAP business development activities with the intent of minimising SAP’s exposure to risk while focusing on the innovative application of SAP products to maximise the value to the client
    * Liaise with the respective Consulting Managing Principal to understand future product/technology strategies and directions
    * Demonstrate active participation in professional service team forums and contribute and participate in knowledge sharing and team development. Seek to act as a mentor and actively support fellow team members in an effort to develop their respective net worth.
    * Liaise with the Consulting Managing Principal to identify product related service offerings that could support formal packaging and rollout to clients.
    * Demonstrate ownership of the product areas defined on the Product Ownership Matrix created by the Consulting Managing Principal.

    * Pursue every opportunity to add value to our clients with respect to business demands and development  requirements of the consultant and professional services team
    * Seek to identify and deliver high value professional service as supported by the Value Based Billing Model
    * Use engagements as an opening to further identify and develop opportunities for SAP consulting services involvement based on definable value to the client

    * Seek and identify opportunities to increase net worth
    * Present areas of expertise and knowledge at workshops and forums
    * Possess the highest level of knowledge in the allocated product areas as defined in the Ownership Matrix
    * Recognise the skills of others within the business and seek to develop skills through observation, research  and practice
    * Leverage and apply knowledge from others (locally and globally) within SAP

    * Adhere to guidelines set for timesheet, activity and expense entry
