Job Description
The role is based in the field, co-located with the VP Sales of a region or business unit of SAP India. The responsibilities of the role are split 50-50 between centralized sales operations/business planning priorities and supporting the VP directly. The position reports to the VP of India Sales Operations and has high visibility within SAP India, with a broad span of responsibility that touches on all aspects of the customer facing organization ranging but not limited to marketing, services, finance, HR and compensation.
Specifically, the focus of the role includes: * Developing the business plan and go-to-market strategy for the LOB/Region * Creating the territory & coverage plan for LOB/region and roll-out & monitor its execution * Create a foundation for flawless and repeatable execution of business initiatives * Monitor & manage the partner lifecycle for Business All In One partners alongwith channels team * Manage & facilitate channel partner business plans and measure the performance vis-a-vis targets * Manage PRM system and enable channel & partner team on the same * Plan roll-out & execution of partner programs (SAP PartnerEdge) * Measure partners as per the SAP PartnerEdge program guidelines and ensure the full-fillment of program requirements * Manage the indirect order entry plan to ensure the channel mix in the revenue * Execution and ownership of specific business plan deliverables * Serving as the Operations Lead of the LOB to help ensure the activities are aligned to the reflect the current business strategy, initiatives and plan * Serving as the primary integrator of all initiatives coming into the region (coordinate marketing, alliances, industry, solution, training, CRM@SAP, sales integration activities into the region) * Analyzing opportunity and pipeline data for the region and recommend adjustments to day-to-day execution * Supporting the VP on ad hoc sales cycles and issues on a day to day basis * Preparing the region for sales/operating reviews * Preparing dashboards for management reporting * Taking leadership on strategic and ad hoc execution issues across and within the region/BU to drive sales force productivity * Ability to work with remote and offshore resources
The ideal candidate will be a self starter, exhibit strong leadership skills, a proven track record of creating and driving key field initiatives in a matrix organization.
Key skills & background: * 8 - 15 years of experience in an enterprise software sales environment * Sales operations skills * Strong analytical, process and leadership skills * Six Sigma skills * Ability to establish trust with the sales organization at all levels * Create and lead strategic initiatives with national impact * Solid mastery of Microsoft Office and statistical software * MBA from a top tier university Desired Experience:
* Sales and sales operations experience * Channel Operations Experience * Strategy consulting background * Commercial Six Sigma Black Belt experience
