Role : Practice Head - e-governance
Job Description
•       Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for technical service delivery
(software delivery), presales support for e-gov sales team
•       Technologies involved may comprise .NET, Java, Tibco, Omniflow,
various product deliveries.
•       Scope will be all e-governance related software projects in country
as well as for exports. Knowledge of ULB, PDS, NREGA, Land records and
other government practices
•       Role would also involve client/user facing and handling large
clients and develop the practice
•       Responsible for development of technology solution and services
along with domain knowledge.
•       Provide leadership and mentoring support to project managers and
other program personnel.
•       Regularly review all delivery projects and services from an
operational and commercial perspective.
•       Understand the client technology solution and find areas of
improvement. Provide guidance to the team on developing competencies
and solutions in line with Client expectations.
•       Manage the performance of services as agreed in the contracts/SLAs
ensuring excellent client relationships, quality and profitable
services.
•       Enable better performance through automation of Governance processes
and working closely with Delivery and Quality Teams
•       Observe and analyze trends in IT Outsourcing and identify new areas
for the Practice to focus on.

Candidate Profile
•       Strong Software delivery background with IT majors who are SEI CMM level 5.
•       Must be either heading a software delivery unit or reporting as
second in command to a Software delivery head. Should have led team of
business and software of considerable strength and muliple customers.
•       Conversant with delivery methodologies, tools, and ability to steer
software proposals for newer customers / accounts.
•       Ability to constantly take the delivery to the next level of value
chain and possess sufficient know-how to achieve the same
•       Ability to intermingle with customers to influence their IT Roadmap
•       Ability to forge, maintain alliances and partnerships as may be
necessary for growth/ sustenance
•       Strong technical background in multiple technologies – ability to
solution for his clients proactively with the help of architects and
designers in his team
•       History of a role as a solution designer in the past will be a plus
though not mandatory
•       Must be well versed with quality initiatives, testing methodologies
and product delivery
•       Can do attitude, high energy, high in self confidence, pleasing
personality and positive aggression towards ensuring excellent
delivery and revenue growth
•       People management skills as well as people development skills
•       Well versed with delivery reviews and governance
