Location: Currently we have an immediate opening with one of the client in Chemical Industry
Position : Supply Chain Specialist
Location : Chennai
Experience : 8 to 15 yrs
Qualification : Any degree with Chemical
Job Responsibilities:
* Responsible for all supply chain activities in Asia region with particular focus in India.
* Responsible for procurement of chemicals.
* Providing support in logistics – processing documentation, co-coordinating with freight forwarders and transporters, co-coordinating import and export activities.
* Procurement and Purchasing - supplier relationship management, sourcing, evaluating and negotiating to enable product availability, cost competitiveness and quality.
* Inventory Management
* Co-coordinating with toll manufacturers.
Desired Profile :
* Any degree in logistics, supply chain or relevant discipline.
* Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in the logistic and supply chain field.
* Prior experience in sourcing of chemicals particularly for paper, water Industries is preferable.
* Good knowledge on import, export and freight principles and legislation, L/C requirements and documents for cross-border transactions.
* Good written and spoken English and good spoken Hindi.
* Computer proficiency in MS Office applications, ERP systems (such as BaaN)
* Willingness to travel
