Position : General Manager (Product Sales – US)
Location : Pune , India , and willing to travel abroad as required
Emoluments : As per industry standards.
Experience : 8-10 Years.

The client is looking forward to candidates who can join immediately.


Responsibilities:
The person will plan and execute all sales activities that meet a next-generation software product’s global sales goals for the US market.
Activities will include product evangelization, lead follow-up and closures, CRM and up-selling. The goals will include revenue, user base growth,
customer loyalty and feedback.

Job Description

- Understand product positioning, product features and benefits, target
markets and existing customer base for existing products
- Work closely with Director – Business Development to understand the
market focus and lead generation plan
- Work closely with top management to define a direct sales strategy
- Based on budgets and available resources, create a sales plan
- Focus on the US Market
- Achieve the launch phase goal in terms of number of users and revenue
by evangelizing the product and educating customers
- Grow customer base by adding new customers as well as up-selling to
existing customers
- Post launch phase, as owner of the direct sales function, be
responsible for its budgets, targets, team setup etc.
- Bring customer / non-customer feedback to product engineering
- Extensively use online tools for sales effectiveness including
Webinars, online promotions, virtual expos etc.
- Also actively engage customers through traditional means such as
in-person meetings, trade events, phone conversations etc.
- Measure the results and fine tune sales plan periodically

Candidate profile

- At least 8-10 years of sales experience, with 3 + years focus on US
market , in a software product &/or services company.
- Hands-on self-starter with good record of performance with individual
targets in excess of $ 1M per year
- Result-oriented, aggressive, driven and energetic with a high
motivation to win customers
- MBA Marketing or equivalent
- Past experience of US travel and / or stay a big plus
- A flair for customer relationship building, as demonstrated by
successful accounts built and sustained over years
- Good people skills

- US B1 visa a plus, but not required
