Location: Positions with an Apparel Company @ Dubai
Our client is engaged in the trading of garments, accessories and textiles to major customers in the United Kingdom, Europe and South Africa. These customers include New Look in the United Kingdom, MIM in France and Woolworths in South Africa. There is already an established relationship with these suppliers through a current office in Hong Kong. The intention is to move this office and operations to JAFZA in the UAE. The turn-over of their Hong Kong business is approx. USD 150m per annum.
They deal with suppliers in a wide range of countries in the Asian region. These include China, India, Vietnam and Bangladesh. The company trades in ladies wear, men’s wear and children wear and is looking for opportunities to expand their business further into Europe and the United States of America.
Besides working directly with suppliers and customers, they will also employ the services of a number of service providers in Hong Kong and China. These providers are involved in the quality control of garments, sample and product development and financing and accounting services for representative offices in these regions.
The company anticipates initial yearly revenue of USD 170m, growing upwards to USD 200m within 3 years.
SHIPPING MANAGER - JAFZA DUBAI
Our client is seeking an experienced Shipping Manager in their new venture in Dubai. The position will be solely responsible for the execution of shipments out of their office to global markets in Europe, the United Kingdom and Australia. This position will be carried out in conjunction with their international network of offices. The role will involve all facets of shipping coordination including documentation, letters of credit, coordination of high volume / value freight and negotiation with and coordination of freight providers.
The ideal candidate would have had considerable exposure to shipping documentation and similar experience working in shipping related role for a large organization and be familiar with all aspects of shipping with a large company. It is essential that the successful candidate is dedicated, ambitious with a positive work attitude. Excellent communication (written and verbal), time management skills and a flexible approach to work will all be highly regarded.

Remuneration negotiable dependant on experience and suitability.
