Experience: 18-20 yrs
My client, a leading producer of carbon black is looking for a GM-Procurement for their business.
Job Description:-
* Overall responsibility for Procurement.
* Create distinct competitive advantage in Oil buying.
* Build strong relationship with Vendor, particularly for Oil buying.
* Hedge and forecast prices based on Platts movement and decide on time to take a buy decision for Oil.
* Oversee Capital procurements for all projects including Vietnam. This will include equipments, structural items, civil and all mechanical items.
* Negotiation of Logistics contracts to ensure on time delivery.
Responsibilities:-
* Competitive pricing of feedstock with respect to competition.
* Reduce sourcing cost of imported CBFS (Carbon Black Oil)
* Develop a spare inventory program for insurance spares between plants
* Delivery of feedstock on time across all plants.
* Procure CBFS of specified Quality.
* Ensure availability of all Packing materials on time.
* Develop agreement or contract directly with ship charter agency to reduce cost and uncertainty.
* Focus on creating strong teams across all plants.
* Develop competencies of people in Oil buying.
* Ensure Project completion is as per schedule by planning all capital procurement as per project schedule.
Candidate Profile:
* BE – Mechanical/Chemical from reputed Institute
* 18-20 yrs of relevant industry experience
Competencies:
* Commercially savvy.
* Possess sound knowledge about Oil buying
* Strong Negotiation skills.
* Strong business acumen. Procurement can make or break the business.
* Capability to build and lead effective teams.
