POSITION SUMMARY: Develop and manage customers (Tier 1 & Tier II Service Providers / Carrier / Telco's and partners to grow revenue for Company India at appropriate margin levels.
This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive sales development strategy to ensure rapid and significant growth of revenue for the short and long term for the respective accounts. Position requires an individual with strong account strategy abilities, large system sales background, and a proven track record in winning deals within complex organizations. Individual must be highly motivated, have strong interpersonal skills, ability to mentor and motivate direct and dotted-line reports, and able to handle competing priorities within customer accounts. Person must be a strong team player able to influence supporters across multiple organizations. Strong focus and proven track record winning new business and expanding opportunities in existing accounts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for devising and executing sales strategy to build new business and meet/exceed sales quota
• Build and implement account strategy plans that best position Company to maximize its revenue streams and margins in accordance with company expectations
• Participate in setting strategy and tactics for each specific sales objectives
• Working knowledge of the competitive landscape and the regional business market
• Overall responsibility for the sales and fulfillment process associated with the regional activities
• Responsible for providing required weekly status/progress and forecast reports
• Work with extended Company team, including executive team, product marketing, product management, and sales operations to achieve sales and revenue objectives
• Responsible for direct sales activities requiring product presentations at all levels of management
• Assume other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS
* Proven track record identifying and closing multi-million dollar deals, including positioning solutions, developing comprehensive pricing and commercial strategies, and negotiating contracts. * Proven ability to identify, understand, and manage relationships and decision making processes across complex organizations. * Ability to cultivate senior executive relationships. * Well developed leadership, mentoring, and motivational skills. * Ability to diplomatically manage sensitive customer issues, including those essential for ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. * Large scale system sales management experience * Technical background in Telecom industry * Excellent presentation and communication skills * Keen awareness of market intelligence with respect to competitors * Budgetary assessment and planning to include forecasting * Ability to “lead by example” and “lead from the trenches”
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
* Experience working in multinational company and matrixed reporting structure * Successful experience working in Start-Up environment. * Entrepreneurial orientation and drive. * Direct experience in contract negotiations. * Background working with Telecom Operators as well as Telecom Vendors * Outgoing with focus on building customer relationships. * Strong Excel, and PowerPoint skills * System solution orientation
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
* 4-year degree (Technical or Business), Masters preferred * 10+ years system sales, system engineering, product management or combination preferred. * A minimum of 5 years previous major account management essential * Strong verbal and written English skills * Strong understanding of markets, including market segmentation and service providers.
