The position is based in Western Suburbs, Mumbai, leads a team of professionals and reports to the GM-Procurement.

KRAs:  Supplier Development: evaluate supplier capabilities, technology and process competences prior to contract. Improvement Plans necessary to fulfill client requirements will be initiated and implemented by Supplier Development. During the delivering phase Supplier Development constantly monitors the current supplier performance and controls the supplier escalation process. Will start with specification of components and end with finally approved parts and production processes

Job Profile:

 
Responsibility for Supplier Development of Production Material Supplier and Industrialization of parts and components. Implementation of supplier strategies to maximize sourcing opportunities in Best Cost Country regions.

 
 Technical- transfer specification and product requirements to supplier- support definition of effective process flow and production lay-out- ensure application of state of the art technologies and methods- evaluate supplier / process capabilities- define opportunities for improvement and set-up supplier development programs Conceptual- Initiate and design supplier development activities- Assist Strategic Buyers to locate suitable suppliers for respective commodities- Maintain close interaction with sourcing function to share findings / areas of concern
  and support development of strategies- Contribute personal production and supply chain expertise to the development of
  supplier capabilities- Ensure regular assessments of suppliers and support for continuous improvements- Liaise with worldwide group companies and functions to ensure maximal benefit for the company- Lead vendor performance scorecard and evaluation for identification of opportunities
 
Project Management- Set-up and maintain effective planning, organization and execution of supplier development and industrialization projects. - Ensure focus on common goal of all projects. - Monitor progress of projects and be central point of information for the Head of Supplier Development at Corporate Purchasing
 
Communication- Monitor competitive landscape in the area of strategic supply chain projects in the industry.- Identify key internal and external target groups.- Develop internal communication strategy and drive the required change management programs to support implementation. -      Deep knowledge of supplier development, industrialization or significant experience in production technologies / manufacturing engineering -      Quality and Environmental Management Systems (DIN ISO 9001:2008;I4001) -      Quality Methods  -      Working knowledge of business systems (SAP R/3, e-procurement, and its interfaces) -      Experience in working in international teams (cross-country, cross-function) and project/change management-          negotiation, presentation and organizational skills -          Project management experience, combined interpersonal skills, social competence-          Team builder / player, hands on worker-          Entrepreneurial, imaginative and tenacity to achieve objectives within a changing and highly competitive market

Candidate Profile: Graduates / Engineers with 5-10 years relevant experience with reputed organisations
