Location: Currently there is an opening with leading technology, engineering, construction and manufacturing company. It is one of the largest and most respected companies in India's private sector.
Experience: 10 – 15 years
Location: Chennai and Baroda
Qualification: MBA from Premier College
Key Responsibilities:
a. Will deal with legal/statutory/ compliance regulations covering areas such as contractual wages, hours of work, working conditions, fair employment practices, and safety codes
b.Perform regular audits as principal employer to ensure compliance with terms of labor contract and statutory regulations by registered contractors
c.Ensure industrial peace, amity and harmony by devising and implementing pro active labor relations policies. Insulating the contract labour from unsavory external influences
d.Grievance redressal
e.Personnel administration and welfare- ensuring clean and hygienic Living quarters/dwellings, crèche, Canteen, Security, Recreation club & Medical Center for labour
f.Communication - contact programmes, meetings, in house journal etc.
g.Linking in with skill training institute, ITIs and other skill pools
h.Sourcing, recruitment & Induction of Contract labor
i.Compliance issues pertaining to contract labor
j.Engage with the workforce and integrate them into their role, introduce systems for contract labour to learn skills such as safety on the job, basic work methods and to identify sources of improvement such as quality techniques training, TPM etc. to enhance productivity of labor
k.Should be up to date with information on the latest case law, new developments and interpretations in the field of labor law
l.Conduct skills based training programmes for contract labor
Maintain high level morale and productivity of the contract labor
