Location: Position: Consultants for Financial Services Consulting
My client which is one of India's largest business conglomerates is looking for Financial Services Consultants with the following requirements:
Overview: Financial Services Consulting group provide consulting services to global financial services clients.
Major offerings are aimed at the following major segments -
- Market infrastructure Capital markets
- Brokerage and Investment banks
- Asset management
- Regulatory compliance.
Transformation consulting, Business consulting, Process consulting, Business analysis services and Products related consulting covering the entire gamut of financial services markets namely, Equities, Fixed income, Derivatives and Commodities.
Location: India - Chennai and Mumbai
Role:
(A)Execute consulting assignments
(B)Strengthen offerings
(C)Business development.
(D)Internal process management
(E)Managing Projects
Experience Profile:
* 7- 8 years Experience ( International and Indian) in capital market institutions / domains in the area of operations and management of business services / products of capital market players
* Experience - pure play consulting, solution design, business analysis, project implementation, business process mapping
* Product experience - (Murex, Summit, Calypso, Asset Control, Charles River, EaglePace etc)
* Asset classes- Fixed income including forex , derivatives, equities
Type of Organizations currently working in
* Large broking firms , BA Captives of MNCs, IT
* Managing the equity / derivatives trading business of a large broking firm
* Managing custody operations for a large custodian encompassing institutional and retail clients
* Portfolio management / funds management for a mutual fund AMC, insurance companies
* Back office operations of a mutual fund/ broking firm/ custodians
* New products development / operations management in an exchange , depository , clearing corporation
* Risk management operations in an exchange, clearing corporation, broking firm, mutual fund
* Operations of commodity / energy trading entities
* Experience in IT firms - consulting for domain areas, project execution for capital market clients with a flair for functional consulting
* IT products experience ( gap analysis, implementation) such as Calypso, Triple Point, Open Links, Summit, Murex
Knowledge in one or more areas as follows
* Front ( sales , CRM, exchange/ MTF connectivity ) , middle( risk management, confirms, P&L processes) , back office ( reconciliation, security lending, collateral management) functions of Investment banks
* Subject areas - reference data, corporate actions, client and accounts management
* trading, clearing and settlement practices in US , Europe and APAC
* corporate actions , collateral management
* risk management principles and models
* asset management principles and models pertaining to investments, performance attribution
* Derivatives( listed, structured, currency) , ABS/ MBS, fixed income , forex and equity market products
Other Key requirements:
* Customer facing and team management experience very essential
* Business Consulting experience
* Project Implementation experience -Nice to have
* International experience
* Pre-sales experience would be nice to have
* Flair for consulting
* Analytical bent of mind and excellent communication skills
* Willingness to travel on short / long term trips both within and outside India as needed to develop and deliver business.
* Team player able to work well in multi-disciplinary teams serving defining and delivering complex solutions to major clients.
* Strong leadership skills with ability to mentor consultants and grow offerings
Education:
1. Professional qualification such as an MBA( Finance), Engineer , CA/ICWA is a must
2. Additional qualifications / certifications such as CFA , FRM ( GARP), PRM ( PRMIA), UK and US securities market certifications is desirable
